Sounds good.  I figure I shouldn't start RaXephon tonight.  Any thoughts on Saiunkoku Monogatari?  Someone at the last con (Miniskirt army girl - I can't remember her name) recommended it.

Update: I decided to watch Saiunkoku Monogatari, and I think that was the right choice.  I made it through five episodes and I'm completely drawn into it.  The plot is fascinating, the characters likable, and the visuals well executed.  It's sort of like a more adult version of Fruits Basket, set in medieval China. 

Edit: I'm through episode 9 now, and the verdict is still Epic Win! What's more, when I'm done with the thirty nine episode season one, I see that fansubs are beginning to appear for season two!

Well I won't suggest Vandread now. Would have been right up your alley, ecchi politics! lol Well ok, it's sci-fi, but...what can I say so I really enjoyed it.
