April Fools Jokes 2008
« on: April 05, 2008, 10:38:19 am »
Did anyone get any good April Fools jokes played on them this year?  Or do any themselves?

I liked the zelda trailer from ign that rock.  Nothing fun happened to me though.

One of my friends told me and a bunch of my friends through email that he broke his leg. And people believed him. :P One of my friends almost went to give him cookies because he was sent by his mom... until it was revealed as a joke.

I liked Gmail's custom time joke too.

Oh man, that IGN trailer was a joke? I was wondering why IGN was making a movie. XD Oh well, the trailer looked awesome, at least.

Otherwise April 1st was, thankfully, a quiet day for me.

Yeah I am pretty sure it was a joke, I wanted to be true so bad as I am sure the rest of the Zelda fandom did as well

I ended up with 3 April Fool's jokes that were each successful in their own way. The best one was the fake wedding vows that Vallie and I posted on our LJs.

My mom has been getting a lot of mileage out of it (she thought we were serious until halfway through) by showing it to other family and friends at church. She acts all upset, like she can' believe what we're doing and everyone TOTALLY FALLS FOR IT! It's the best joke I've pulled yet.

Except maybe my post in the Kumoricon Staff forum.  ;D

One of my friends came to school on crutches.

I didn't buy it.

I didn't prank people this year, but after I got home I thought of posting a journal on deviantart about me quitting cosplay...
But then I figured, nah, that's too obvious.  :3

I told my mother I got pregnant while she was at work. It was full of lulz but she was pretty bitter towards me for the rest of the day.

During B lunch at school, some seniors on Senior hall threw food everywhere below in paper cups. So many people got hit with food and it was all over the floor. They ended up canceling lunch 10 min in for "safety" purposes and making everyone go to their next class 20 minutes early. It was total chaos, people wanted to know what happened and stopped in the halls to talk. People on cells, people (like me) refused to go saying they still had lunch time left. By the time everyone was actually in class, it would have taken less time to just let people stay at lunch and releases class when they were suppose to. We basically had a 30 minute passing time where everyone was everywhere. It was just amazing, of course now they took away Senior Hall for something on y a handful of people did. We can't even go up to our lockers or pass through that hallway during lunch, which of course is pissing off the senior class so a petition went around and now it sounds like a sit in is being planned.
