Author Topic: Help with Kumoricon table at the Beaverton Uwajimaya Sakura Festival! (Read 14899 times)

Saturday April, 19th 2008. The event lasts from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. There will be lots of really neat events like the Kumoricon table! woot and live music and the kumoricon table and they might have taiyaki and did i mention the awsome kumoricon table?

set up will probably start around 8:00am bright and early

what makes the table so popular is all the volunteers who help with the table both by helping set up, manning (otakuing) or by talking about and promoting Kumoricon to people intersted in atending.

For those of you who are new to kumoricon this is a great chance to get to know some people and make some friends.

Please post if you are planning on stopping by the booth and lending a hand and what time you think you will be by

I will be there so I can help, I can be there from anytime up untill 3:30. I will have my 3 kids with me, but im sure they would like to help too. They can cosplay and are well behaved. My kids and I plan to be there all day so I can help alot.

Whoa, my going is still in the works and I don't really know what a twelve year old could do, but I'll probably be alone! XD So, I'll be glad to talk about people to it and stalk the table! >.> Still trying to figure out what cosplay to do....

kendo boyfriend was wondering if you were talking about mine or his, if mine yes i willz wear, if his he sez heck no not on the pavement

I will be there in my Dragon Quest 8 cosplay glory, but don't expect me before 10 am (I'm not a morning person plus the bus I'd be taking is on reroute due to construction).

If you really need the early morning set up help Jaz, I'm willing as long as perhaps you and Chris might be willing to pick me up. Just give me a heads-up on that one so I can adjust my sleep schedule accordingly. Also for all who will attend, even if you cosplay, please dress warmly. The freezing level is supposed to drop to 500 feet by late Friday night. Yes, that's right, we're supposed to get snow this weekend.

Kumoricon is booth 15. We should have power and a canopy (very helpful in case of rain or snow).

Most likely I will be there for part of the afternoon!

So I will be able to make it and I will do a modified cosplay of the mascot (long sleeve shirt under the dress kinda thing). If you've got any publicity things you want to do with me thats fine... (we can do like a basket of cheap candy that i can hand out to people if they can tell me who i am or something like that). Anyway I should be there at somepoint but I am not sure on an exact time. <3 take care people

It will be cold tomorrow make sure to wear layers! Thanks to everyone who can help out, we will also need some help with the take down. Usually step up and take down take no longer than an hour but it is always good to be prepared!

Fine by me, as I'm going to be there later than I normally expected, because the cold weather is making the arthritis in my knee flare and I want to wait for the temperature to warm up a bit (aka, no early morning freezing to death) before I go outside.

It was miserable out there, hence why I left early. Not to mention the cold made my arthritis flare up. We did miss you though.

yeah chris and my younger brother n I left yearly when my hands started to get really cold and i got sniffly, i went home and crashed about 10 pm and slept strait thru till 9 am the next day

I hung out for most of the day and my kids had fun handing out flyers. Getting to run around and hand out flyers kept them warm.(or not so cold)
