Portland wig makers
« on: April 21, 2008, 12:24:33 am »
Does anyone know of a good wig maker in Portland? I would order online, but ya can never really tell how good the wig maker is by looking at pictures. I've got a couple characters for kumoricon that I need to buy wigs for. Thanks for helping.  :)

www.cosworx.com and www.amphigory.com both have good wigs, as a lot of people on here will attest to. I personally have a wig from amphigory and love it.

My brother was just telling me about a basic wig shop in Portland somewhere on MLK. They are for mostly drag queens, but he said they are good wigs, and you might be able to find some that will help. ^_^

A friend told me about a shop called 'wigland' or something... She said they were pretty good, but I haven't been there m'self yet.

You could probably find it through google x3

yeah, theres wigland, its over by lloyd center kinda on 11th.  but they dont really have a good color selection for cosplay, its MOSTLY natural colors (they do have some wigs in like...fire engine red and lime green).  but yeah i would say that generally amphigory is awesome and you dont have to worry about the quality of the wigs at all, and they are totally worth the price (and really i dont think they are all that much considering what cosplay can cost in general). the femme fatal is generally the go too wig if youre doing any kind of short cut, or even as a base for an up do.

Hmmm....wigland you say? I think I'll ckeck that out.
My sister needs a roxas wig.
I ordered my Axel wig from Amphigory yesterday, so I'm hoping that it'll be good.
I still gotta style it and all.
