Do you use Flash player? If you visit YouTube, you do. So this is important: there's an exploit going around that can infect you with a key logger. It's recommended you upgrade to the latest version. Be sure to check which version you're using. (The exploit apparently affects versions 9.0.115.0 and earlier.)

Some good info here. If you're worried about an infection, AVG Antivirus is what I use.

If you know what you're doing, you can lower the likelihood of infection by opening the hosts file by going to Start -> Run and then cut+pasting this:

Code: [Select]
notepad c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
And then add this to the bottom of the file

Code: [Select]
127.0.0.1 tongji123.org
127.0.0.1 bb.wudiliuliang.com
127.0.0.1 user1.12-26.net
127.0.0.1 user1.12-27.net
127.0.0.1 ageofconans.net
127.0.0.1 lkjrc.cn
127.0.0.1 psp1111.cn
127.0.0.1 zuoyouweinan.com
127.0.0.1 user1.isee080.net
127.0.0.1 guccime.net
127.0.0.1 woai117.cn
127.0.0.1 wuqing17173.cn
127.0.0.1 dota11.cn
127.0.0.1 play0nlnie.com
127.0.0.1 0novel.com

Those are some of the domains the exploit files are being served from. It might not be as effective anymore since it's spreading fast but it couldn't hurt.

If you really want to take it to the next level, you can do the following

1) Disable Flash entirely (Probably not necessary)

- or -

2) Download NoScript and FlashBlock for Firefox. (This is what I did .. it might be too much for most users, though.)

In most cases, simply updating your Flash player and keeping an up-to-date anti-virus program + firewall should keep you relatively safe.

Be aware that even if you only visit sites you "trust", you're not safe if you use the old version of Flash Player. Already, it's said that at least 250,000 websites have been affected with the malicious Flash code.

Oh geeze.
I am part of the team that helps with downloads from the adobe website. I really hope that I don't get too many calls about this.

I'm glad that the development guys are on top of this.

Do you work for a company called InStream or something? Did you know someone that worked there not that long ago named Craig B? Probably bald head, maybe a goatee... I think he worked in the technical support department.

Thanks for providing the link to check what version we had.  I couldn't remember mine.
