Rules on Replica Accessories

Are there any guidelines to follow on items you use fo ryour cosplay that are replicas?

I was going to do a Resident Evil RPD officer cosplay, and even got a 1/1 Replica Taurus Baretta. 

Course, There would be no magazine, it's got an orange saftey tip, and I was thinking of using orange or blue tape and wrap it around the lower end of the handle to make it look safe and nonrealistic.

Anything I'm missing?

Talking about a gun? Cork the end of it with something and you'd still have to have it Peace Bonded at the convention.

Every moving part inside has to be rendered immobile and the trigger has to be removed.
