Raiding the Vendor Hall, How Did You Fare?

So, who made some noteworthy purchases in the Dealer/Vendor Hall? Feel free to share your stories of epic discovery and pillaging here!

As for me, I stocked up on Final Fantasy potions. I found two different variations of Limited Edition Final Fantasy VII 10th Anniversary Potion Soda Cans (with potion still inside, of course).

I also found the original issue 1997 series of Final Fantasy VII figures. This was big enough to make me "ZOMG" out loud, lol. It was $80, but totally worth it as they can only seemingly be found for upwards of several hundred now.

Other than those epic wins of commerce, I bought Volume 1 of Detroit Metal City (which I've been anticipating for a while now), and I got Kahlan some uber-cute Mario Bobomb earrings. Good stuff!

To be honest.. the merch seemed kind of weak this year. ^_^;  Or maybe I was just more conscious of my spending, seeing as how I have to pay for school soon. I did find a Sakura (Tsubasa) and a "So, I hear u liek mudkips" shirt. ^_^;

My purchases aren't really that noteworthy, but they made me very very happy all the same. I just got a bunch of art.

I spent tons on keychains. $47. They were expensive, but so ridiculously good/CUTE that I had to get them. I got two sets of Ouran and Vampire Knight ones from different artists, and a few random other characters. xD

I also got a Phoenix Wright poster (yay)!

And I also got Dr. Horrible art. I had a fangirl moment and it made me squee a little (which rarely happens), so I had to get it.

I was kinda disappointed with the dealer's room this year. Only one type of L plushie! (That I already had)

But I did get a mini Death Note (which was a big hit), L charm, mini DS phone strap (thank you Jake!!), soot ball from Spirited Away, and a rice ball plushie. I also bought a ramune cupcake. =3

I spent all my money on commissions... I think I got four of them, plus buttons I requested and my friend (the one making the sculptures) gave me a slightly discounted commission.

Oh, and food. 8D; I honestly don't think I bought anything other than those.

I was really upset that they didn't have ANY HARUHI cosplays, since last year they had millions, I only assumed they would.

I kinda wanted to pick up posters or scrolls and stuff but really if it is not mostly red then it clashes with things in my condo so I didn't end up getting anything but a slants cd and a custom cosplay ninja shirt.

I did a bunch of swapping with the Artist's Alley people, since i handed out a bunch of the Matt Damon buttons.

Really? I was seeing plushies everywhere the whole weekend it seemed. Unless you mean plushies of a specific anime that's in the minority.

All I bought was 12 cupcakes, a con shirt, a con pin, & 2 cellphone charms.

I also got my obi repaired and gave the guy $1.

I mostly spent my money at the auction. ($96)

I got a few nice things but got suckered into a key blade from that one stand with not so great wooden weapons....

I was just passing by on the last day and looked briefly at a keyblade of theirs and the lady asked if i wanted it and told me she made them herself... I told her frankly that i was short, i actualy was. she asked how much and i told the truth... 50 cents.... TT~TT she sold it to me anyways and i couldnt lie to her or have the heart to tell her i didnt want it after i found she made them herself... i now plant o sand it down, take out the ducktape, and repaint it myself -o- might as well get some use out of it eh?

like 40 bucks TT~TT I really need to learn to say no to these dealers... oh well I'll polish it up and get some use out of it, or sell it to my friends for about the same price cause they dont attend cons but want the gear....
