Did you say you suggested actually having a J-Rocker guest at the con? Did you suggest an actual
performance, then?
Well, I don't know what their plans are about getting such people as guests for industry panels and such, but before anyone mentions it, I wanted to remind everybody that a
live performance is extremely spendy. Sakura Con tried a live performance, and it was quite flashy and cool (I was there for it and quite enjoyed myself), but as a result, registration prices were quite high, regardless of whether you went to the concert or not.
The last time I heard the core staff of Kumori Con discussing such things, the general consensus was that they were opting for lower registration prices and a higher number of guests, rather than big flashy shows. That was awhile ago, though. Personally, I hope that feeling hasn't changed.
But yeah, I think having more things of interest to J-Pop and J-Rock fans is quite in line with fan interests. J-Pop and J-Rock both have a lot of connections with anime and fan culture.
