Can't modify post :(

I was going back and checking posts I made and I can't modify my post's exsept the one's I just posted. that never happened b4. Can someone help me? Thanks.

I think after a month or so, posts become uneditable. This was a problem in the manga sales forums for a while *-*;

Not sure if this is fixable... I think mods can edit your posts after any time though.

PM an active mod with a link to the thread and what you want the text to say.  Be precise so they can just click "Quote", copy the text exactly, and post exactly what you want posted.

Here's the format I use:

I need my xth post in [url] edited to say the following:

[new text]

Active is just used in a denotative term, meaning a moderator that is on the forums regularly.

I've just changed a couple of forum settings. (1) You can now modify posts up to a year old... but... (2) threads are auto-locked after 4, or 6, months of inactivity (which one depends on which forum and its usage patterns). As before, you can't edit a post in a locked thread, so mostly the auto-lock is the effective limit.

The length of the thread doesn't matter, just the time it was last posted in. So as long as the thread is active, it won't be regarded as an "old" thread since posting in it resets the age.
