I am going to be going to the convention as Isaak Fernand von Kampfer from Trinity Blood so I wanna find a group! Lemme know if you're interested. ^^

funny. I was actually thinking of posting a trinity blood topic sooner or later. well for this years con I'm packed on costumes. and I have no more time or money to add on an extra one. however, :3 in the future, maybe 2010 I'm going to cosplay as astharoshe asran.

I'm not sure what I'm going to try to take to Kcon, since I'm flying up to Seattle and then driving down with friends, and that's rather limiting on the luggage side. But I'll have my Kaya done by then, so perhaps I will try to wrangle her up there. (We'll see how huge that cos finally winds up being when I finish it as far as packing ....)

Actually, I'm going to attempt to be Seth (manga version) in her Empress attire.
However, the attempt part pertains to if I can find help in order to make it.
I don’t think it’s an outfit that can be made by a simple pattern, that’s for sure.

(I’m estimating Seth will cost like at least $200 depending on what fabric I use or if I need custom made shoes and- *rambles*)

I forgot about the wig and such!
Although, I believe I have to purchase contacts.
I might not have lightning green eyes but I think Hazel is... close enough.

Ah yes, good all altering.
However, that's a pain in the butt!
My Ema Skye cosplay consisted of purchased stuff and it wasn't like... THE AUTHENTIC 100% BEST DANG THING because it wasn't close enough, in my opinion. Even with some altering...

But, perhaps, I'm just overly critical.

yeah and then I have to dye that one little part of the wig. and cut her hair all weird. Hazel works just fine but I want gold eyes for this. I'm getting fangs as well. I will be authentic. :3

altering is really all I like to do. Asran I'll probably have to make from scratch but I'll use cheap materials.

Gawd, Trinity Blood cosplay gets so expensive, though I suppose it depends on which medium you go with. My artbook white nun Kaya has cost me far more than I want to think already, though a good chunk of it was lace and resincasting supplies -- and my fabric snobbery. :3 Though the time is even worse than the money ... bias tape, why do you take so long?
(Of course, I'm doing mine with an eye on entering craftsmanship judging, so that may contribute to my neuroses.)

That’s going to be one expensive wig, considering how long her hair is.

She still hasn’t shown up in the English release of the novel and I have no clue if she show up in the manga.
I really want to read about the other Orden members.
(could guess their name but will probably fail miserably)

well I plan on probably not getting a wig THAT long. 0_0 too long for me. I'll probably have a friend of mine who's a hairstylist cut it....but then this idea just popped into my head. I'm letting my hair grow out... you think it might be long enough by then and that I could dye it for con?

Probably not...
However... somewhat close to... but then you'd have to cut it in that style...it's cool drawn but I'm not so sure actually cut that way.
My hair only grows an inch or two a year so... unless it's really long to start with and you hair grows faster then mine then maybe....?

@Dapan: RAM V is when she finally turns up, I believe.
And the bad news on that stuff is that Tokyopop keeps having to lay off more people, and that pushes publication dates out. D: Just have to keep fingers crossed and hope that things work out for them, and that they don't have to drop this series entirely. (I would cry, big time. Some of us down here are planning on invading the Tokyopop panel at ALA to remind them Toribla is loved.)

Hair can grow pretty quickly: I think mine puts on somewhere between six and nine inches in a year on average.

Although we are having some problems
because we found the artist is sometimes
inconsistent. Not to mention I have to
figure out if I'm going to make the front
design the same as what is found on the
cover of the book where Seth is featured
or more like the simplified thing in the pages
of the manga.

IDK, manga's pretty nightmareish in its own right. (Not that I have much personal experience, since I get a grand total of four illustrations for my references -- artbook rage I have!) Not to mention the illogic of construction always present in some things with anime physics ...

Good luck though, Dapan!

(I may be giving up Kcon this coming year. We'll see.)
