I'm not a hard glomper, cause I know the pain of a cosplay breaking because of one (and I usually ask unless I know them)
I fear for mine and my friends cosplays being ruined by glomps this year, ahh her armor took forever to make.... T___T

well, if it comes down to it, just split the costs between the rest of your room mates. It will be a little more expensive, but also calculate how many people are already staying in the room, than devide how much the room cost's by the amount of people, that's it.
