Fluxx Kumoricon
« on: December 18, 2008, 08:38:50 pm »
So, there is a Kumoricon Apples to Apples now.  How about a Kumoricon Fluxx?

We'd need Keepers, Creepers, Actions, New Rules and Goals.

Creepers could mostly be unwashed fanboys and fangirls.

Keepers could be:
Pre-Reg Badge
Staff Badge
Pocky
Ramune
Cell Phone with Many Dangly Things
Oversized Cosplay Prop
Maps
Hotel Room Key
Internet Access
Working ATM
Swag Bag
Cat Girls
Swimming Pool

Goals could be:
Sleep - need Hotel Room Key and no creepers or Cell Phone
Attend Cosplay Meetup - need Oversized Prop and Internet Access
Raid Dealer's Room - need Working ATM and Swag Bag
REAL Food - Working ATM and Maps
Scare the Normies - Oversized Cosplay Proper and 10 Creepers

Actions -
Director Migration - All the directors just ran for the other side of the con space, take two more actions while everyone is distracted
Take a Sharpie to the Con Book - Trash one New Rule

So, anyone else have any ideas?  Just keep in mind that this is all supposed to be in good fun.  No mean jokes or things of that sort.

I was talking about this with some people recently, I think that the idea for a Kcon Fluxx might originally have been Pezzer's?  Anyway, no one had posted yet, so I thought I'd go and do it.

Oh, sure.  Fluxx is a card game where you are constantly changing the rules of the game.  When you start out the one rules are 'draw one and play one'.  There are no conditions for winning.  You introduce conditions for winning by playing Goal Cards.  There are cards like 'Draw Four', which raises the amount of cards you draw per turn to four.

It's alot of fun and there are already a couple different versions of the game out there.  I played Monty Python Fluxx for the first time earlier tonight.  I usually play Zombie Fluxx.  I am going to make a custom set for a friend for her birthday.  You can make custom cards that blend in seamlessly with regular decks by using Fluxx Blanks.

Zombie Fluxx is teh awesome. Pezzer has us hooked on it. It gets a smidge confusing with the rule changes, but its soooo much fun. Id be game if I have the time. We should play outside of the con first though. Maybe a mini event or get together?

I am up for that. You would most likely end up spending half the time explaining the game at the con anyway >_>

The beauty of Fluxx is that all of the rules are on front of you at all times.  Explaining it can make ti sound complex, but people tend to get it after a round or two.

Goal: Pool Party

Cat Girl
Swimming Pool

also you need the keeper CAMERA, Prog Guide, Guest of Honor, Deoterant (gets ride of smelly fanboys/girls, must be moved to other people) , and Air Freshaner (fanboys/girls don't effect your ability to achive goals, see the sonic tranqulizer)

which leads to the goals

Flicker/Photo Bucket-
Camera
Cat Girl or Guest of Honor

Wish you were Here-
Camera
Internet Access

Sugar High-
Pocky Ramune

Found You-
Prog Guide
Guest of honor

Info booth-
Maps
Prog Guide

Ungoal - and the smell will never come out:
everyone has a fanboy/girl and there are atleast 5 on the table.

Rule:

Glomp for ****:
during your turn you may pass a fan boy to any player with pocky, ramune, catgirl, guest of honor, or Oversized Cosplay Prop

And I thought they smelled bad on the outside:
catgirl and guest of honor now count as Fanboys

So fresh and so clean clean:
Fanboys/girls don't smell so bad anymore and don't effect your ability to achive goals.
if you are reading this i have broken free

Hm, I think I might have seen this before... It sounds really fun though. What time will it be held?
