Actually I like the idea of a MySpace as our homepage, what do you guys think? We just want to list member bios, have a section for video and use the photo gallery... People can also friend us! How's that sound?

I personally like MYSPACE more than facebook. I've never been hacked or phished on my myspace account and I've had it for years (I think it's because I change my password every two months?) Plus I like that you can make your MYSPACE private but your FACEBOOK isn't DX [which I don't really like DX ]

Here are my thoughts on each type of "web home" we could have for the group, lol.

1. Website
Pros - Fairly easy to design, photo gallery/video page abilities are so-so, chatbox could be added.
Cons - Followers can't really leave comments.

2. Blog
Pros - Members can post their own topics, followers can post comments.
Cons - Difficult to design, not really convenient as a photo/video gallery, no place for individual member profiles.

3. LiveJournal
Pros - Fairly easy to design, members can post their own topics, followers with an account can post comments and they can friend us.
Cons (I almost typed "condensation", lmao) - Not really convenient as a photo/video gallery, no place for individual member profiles.

4. MySpace
Pros - Easy to design, easy to navigate, followers with a MySpace account can friend us, decent photo gallery and video accessability.
Cons - Hackable.

5. Facebook
Pros - Works as an okay photo/video gallery, followers with an account can friend us.
Cons - Not really designable, hackable, no place for individual member profiles.

6. deviantART
(Does anybody have one of these? I know some cosplayers use this site, but I haven't because I'm not artistic, lol. Me and Megan's monthly cosplay group will be based on deviantART.)

because there is no space for profiles and you can't make a design.
and websites I think we should make after we have cosplayed a couple
of years. In my opinion myspace is okay because you can just change the

I'm starting on my Ciel cosplay right now, the costume, wig, eyepatch, ring and earrings will be gathered soon! I'm so excited to see most of us at the tea party in a couple weeks.

I think that each type of website has its own advantages and disadvantages. So, maybe we could make an assortment of locations? For instance, use LiveJournal for casual cosplay updates since that's mainly what it's for [updates and stuff I mean]. Maybe have a main site for all of our general information and some pictures, and a dA for all of our cosplay pictures. You know? Stuff like that. But that's just me! Sorry if I'm making this overloading, just giving my two cents.

I have a deviantart, I do love it though I haven't posted anything in a while :[ it is very easy to maintain as well (I know tons of cosplay groups far and wide that use DA as their photo collection///portfolio ) But I agree that all of those are great ideas, BUT WE MUST HAVE A LOGO FIRST TO START ANYTHING.

Aside from my unkempt appearance and dirty mirror there are a few other things wrong with this (^) picture. The color's too light, sure, but worst of all is that since my hat's so huge I have to hold it up. I have no clue how to get it to stay on my head.

On the back...



Pretty fugly, huh? I had to work with hot glue so I tried to finish it as fast as I could so I could stop burning myself.



I made the base hat out of cardboard then covered it with fabric and the cardboard's bent which makes it even more difficult to handle.

I shouldn't've bothered working on it today, the heat's making me mucho pissy~

You could possibly mold it out of lionboard and spray paint it? No need to deal with fabric...

Here's my opinion. It looks like you have a great idea going but the cardboard just set off a red flag I never noticed. You can't really WEAR cardboard the same way she wears her cowboy. Which could be a major problem for you.

What's lionboard? For the backside Shay suggested that I put a precise layer of fabric over it.

The actual curved hat isn't cardboard, and if it was by itself I could wear it. It's just, in all it's too big for gravity, haha~
