Just rest up well, Nikki. You deserve it. You've been the one working hard for a very long time. ):  I hope you feel better soon~

Also, could the throat be from the dust/pollen today? It was horrible. Even for people with non-allergies. At school almost everyone I talked to had a sore throat.

Remember I got to school in Corvallis during the week. And it wasn't from anything allergy related.

I've been off my regular workout routine wagon for way too long now. So, time to get back on track to getting in better shape. Starting tomorrow! I've been letting this heat deter me from working out, never have the energy to go, letting school keep me preoccupied, yaddayadda. But, yeah, time to buckle down and get on track, heh

I exercised today! Even with all the tornado bs near here, and our power going out. I still managed to go to the gym. Tomorrow I'm going up to Seattle, but Anna said we could go to the gym there. Running for about 15 minutes, then walking to Gasworks and back seems like a pretty good workout to me.

Also, thankfully it's another A day so I have my aerobics class where we'll be starting yoga. HURRAY! : D  When I went to go see if Dad wanted to go this morning he said no because of the hard rain. I was disappointed, but there's tomorrow after the rain has died down, so I can just eat light today then and focus hard in aerobics (like always). ^.^

Just one more class left in the school year and I have two test next week. I'm so close to being done ;D

I also need to print off my paper that is due today =/

So this afternoon I made up by biking around Cook's Park, Tualatin Park, and Tualatin. I left the house about ten til three and got back at six. I stopped a couple times, once at the library and another at Fred Meyer to get a Father's Day present, but total I biked about an hour and fifteen to thirty minutes. xD

Hahaha, I'm mad.  :D

I was doing the pushups on Wii fit, but I was wearing socks so since we have hardwood floors downstairs, it slipped off the carpet and made me fall. My sister came down right then and stated 'You're not even strong enough to do a pushup?' and I just glared and pushed my wii fit board forward so I wouldn't fall. Then she yelled up to my dad 'Megan can't do a pushup!' and my dad called down 'Hey, what are you doing?' and I replied, ignoring my sister, 'Pushups on wii fit.' and then my sister looked at me and said 'Or attempting to.'

So I was like, ok, this is retarded, so I yelled for my dad to make her go away. He came down and said she could be there if she wanted, and I was like 'Hey, she had her chance, but she blew it, make her go away!' and then he looked at my sister and said 'Sorry, Lexie, I know it's not your fault and Megan is just complaining, but could you go away?' And I was like SCREW THIS and left to go on the computer. c:

Haha, yeah.

Ari thought it was funny. (she was on the couch, lol!)

I actually used the wii fit again today. It's not bad, but I don't have a whole lot unlocked so it isn't quite a good of a workout as what I do at the gym. I'll just keep it up and get things unlocked.

I found a nice 40ish-mile route to my friend's house that goes along the Columbia river for about 60% of the ride.  I'll probably be taking that route on numerous Tuesday afternoons this summer.  Need to figure out my routes for Parkland and Eugene still.  Those will be my big trips this summer. (I'm actually looking to carpool to Parkland, since the date for the tournament is coming up soon and I'm not sure I'm quite ready to do a 140-mile bike ride, then a DDR tournament, and ride back the next day)

haha, I hear that. I've had a really hard time this week also. With essays to write and what-not, it just seems like good excuses not to work out keep popping up everywhere I go, lol.

Speaking of WiiFit, any of you hear about the Vitality Sensor they unveiled at E3? It detects your heart rate and other vital info. I'm curious what people think about that, if it will be beneficial or not.

yay  i worked out today it was intense. 15 mins of abs and arms, and 2 miles of running. good for my first day of working out in 2 weeks. gonna do abs and arms again today. i feel soo good today and i just ate chinese a while ago, need to work that off yup yup.

I did some lunges yesterday and I wasn't sore to walk but I was sore when I did them. I'll try to do some more wii fit today ;D

@Doofer: If you just started a exercise routine, you need a day to rest up your body. If you wake up sore take it easy today and maybe just go for a walk or do some stretches. DO NOT OVER DO IT.

That's great! I know school can interfere with a lot of things, so it's good that you're out. I think I'm at that point if I don't exercise daily, then I feel really weird, which is a good thing!

Hello! Been a (looong) while since I posted in this thread. So, I have a question for anyone and everyone! I have a bit o'money saved up and I really need to buy a bike (for commuting but the fitness will be a nice bonus). Anyone have any suggestions? I haven't bought a bike since before high school so now it's too small for me and then it wasn't something as daily as commuting. My school is only about 2 miles away but I am (hopefully) goin' to have a job this summer and I don't know where that will be...

So, I've been going around to local bike shops (I'm in Salem) and so far I've been pointed towards the Trek 7000 (http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/bike_path/hybrid/7000/) and the Specialized Sirrus (http://www.specialized.com/us/en/bc/SBCBkModel.jsp?spid=38462&eid=121). Trek 7000 is right in my price range (300-400... unfortunately, not a lot in the world of bikes) and the Sirrus is 100 dollars out of it but I've heard some good things and I like the positioning of the seat and handlebars - the position would use more back muscles, rather than just my legs.

Anyway, my question is - Do you guys have any bikes ya'd recommend? Have ya heard or had any experience with the Trek 7000 or Specialized Sirrus?

I looked around for a new bike for a while. Personally I'd rather spend 100$ or so dollars on a used bike on Craigslist then a brand new bike. Usually they're pretty good, and in good shape, for a lot less. Sometimes people don't even use them and they've just been sitting in their garage for a year or two, so they knock the price down. I'd look on Craigslist to save money and get a good deal vs. buying a brand new bike.

Well I'm sure they'd let you try it out! So long as everything looks and feels alright, then the bike should be good. Craigslist has been pretty good to me so far. X3
