Namco Museum is always a mainstay in my PS2.

Then there is Chrono Trigger, Super Mario World when I feel like doing a 10 minute speed run, and all kinds of old school stuff
Hey ya'll I'll be starting school so time on these forums will me limited.  I will still respond to PM's so if you need to get a hold of me, PM me or send me a message on MySpace.

haven't been reading the thread at all

i play a ton of old games.

i emulate nes, snes, gba, gbc, and other games on my DS, so most of the really old and rare games, i have access too.

i think one of my favorites is still earthbound, i haven't played it in forever.

For me, my favorite old school game choice is simple.  Lufia and the Fortress of Doom for the SNES.  The one game where my 19 year old brother still calls ME for help because I really am that damn good.  Kylite's friend Nick didn't believe me when I said I was better than him at the game until he watched me play on the ZSNES emulator.  :-)

Okay folks I have a PC which I use for gaming. Some of my favorites you might not have heard of.

Baldur's Gate and it's expansion pack Tales from the Sword Coast
Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn and Throne of Bhaal
Icewind Dale I & II
Neverwinter Nights: The original campauign, Shadows of Undrentide, Hordes of the Underdark, Kingmaker, and ShadowGuard.

Might and Magic and Heroes of Might and Magic. Well what do you say to all that?

I've heard of all of those.  Only played NWN though.

I wouldn't consider any of them to be oldschool though.  They were all made for Windows 2000 IIRC.

Now Warlords (Amiga500)...that's a computer game that I'd consider oldschool.

And amazing.

I really want to play Knights right now.  That was another really well-made Amiga500 game.

And Sidewinder II.  One of my first shmups. <3

Pool of Radiance
Curse of the Azure Bonds
Secret of the Silver Blades
Pools of Darkness

Champions of Krynn
Death Knights of Krynn
The Dark Queen of Krynn

Gateway to the Savage Frontier
Treasures of the Savage Frontier

Collectively these were the gold box games from SSI. I actually still have them somewhere. Yeah, that's definitely super old school and I do remember playing the Eye of the Beholder trilogy as well.

SSI?  Didn't they later become SSG?  Who later lost their best gaming minds to Infinite Interactive?  Who acquired SSG's most celebrated series, Warlords shortly thereafter, because it was dead without Steve Fawkner?

Or are you referring to a different SSI here?

Okay as I stated in my first comment I'm very big into the old Might and Magic series.

Might and Magic & Might and Magic II: Gateway to Another World were kind of hard.

Might and Magic III: Isles of Terra was when it really started to get good.

Might and Magic VI and V: Collectively known as the World of Xeen (Clouds of Xeen & Darkside of Xeen) were really good. And I loved how it brought Jon Van Canegem's story with the two androids S.H.E.L.T.E.M. and C.O.R.A.K. to it's conclusion.

Heroes of Might and Magic was an interesting straegy based game and I almost made it to the end of the campaign mode.
Heroes of Might and Magic II & The Price of Loyalty were awesome games. With the original campaign you could serve one of two brothers, Prince Roland (Good) or King Archibald (Evil). And the Price of Loyalty was a very dark very complex storyline where your character has to go after a childhood friend, Viscount Kregor who's become an enemy of the empire you serve.

Next we get into Might and magic VI: This game picks up from Heroes 1 and 2 which casts you in the role of four heroes who have explore dungeons and cavern in an effort to become powerful enough to stop a swarm of alien invaders. I loved the graphic and how it took Might and Magic to the next level.

Next up come Heroes of Might and Magic III: That was super complex but it was a great game with a great storyline and some awesome graphics and new general types for your armies as well as new races. If I recall correctly Richard Epcar did voice work in that.

I never quite got to the end of it because the game had some technical problems but I liked Might and Magic VII: For blood and Honor. This casts you in the role of a party of four who have to win a kingdom while shaping the future of the land your in. The thing is you can choose whether to be good or evil and that definitely adds something to it.

I didn't get any farther with the Might and Magic games, and I kick myself in the rear end for that. Hey if there's anybody here who knows a good gaming website where I can play said games with no problems let me know please.

I've never thought about a favorite character before...  As a silent protagonist, I think Chrono has a lot of character. He's my favorite to use, also because he has the most techs  ^^     Frog/Lucca's Line Bomb is my favorite double tech, however.

My FAAAAAVORITE character in the whole game though, is Alfador. If you keep feeding Chrono's cat with points from the fair, it'll keep multiplying, and the Alfador imitation should signify the last cat before you max out.

Schala is my favorite character to do fanart of! Or at least try.... I don't imitate Akira Toriyama very well (he draws characters too short, if you ask me.)

You know there one console game that i never really got the chance to conquer which is driving me crazy to this day. Final Fantasy 4. The one with the Espurs and the girl who was born of the Espurs. If anyone happens to know a place on the Internet where I could play that game I'd appreciate it. So many games I never beat life's so unfair  :'(.

I always rather liked Legend of Dragoon >.> although I read it got a bad rating for the constants battles and semi repetative nature. Rose is one of my favorite characters as well as the girl in blue... DX I cant remember her name.

Meru, the girl with the big hammer, was my favorite in LoD. The battles were the best part, but there IS a line to step over where too many battles get randomly generated.
Even worse were the maps, though. You shouldn't have trouble getting to the next screen even when you have markers up. Of course, the same thing happened in parts of FF7, too.
