Hello! I was really curious this morning and was wondering what variety of races us Kumoricon cosplayers are made up of~ If you choose "Other" in the poll, could you please post with your specific racial background? It's okay if you'd like to keep it private, I'd just like to know, thanks! :3

White....plain and boring. I feel sorry for the African Americans though. There isn't a whole lot of dark skinned people in anime and manga. But they could go as anyone they want.

I don't think any race is plain or boring! I admire a lot of white cosplayers; including you~

It's kinda true that there aren't a lot of African American characters in anime/manga/video games though. I have a friend who is black and she's going to cosplay Villetta Nu from Code Geass in September <3

most my filippino side shows more than my native, but ya i guess the asian lifestyle isnt that bad, but its not bad to be white, their very cultured in europe its amazing.

Ahh, it does in me, with my curly hair and big nose u.u -fits the stereotype-
I look more 'enthic' than I actually am, since my skin is naturally a little darker than white white people. People have asked if I'm from the Middle East, and though I've lived there, my family isn't actually from there. I can trace ancestors from both sides of my family near each other in the Belorussian area (technically just Russia before Belarus existed). I'm mostly Russian/Eastern European from way back. :3

I am 95% Italian and the rest the small 5% Is a mix of races from african to Irish to well you get the point. But I feel proud of who I am.

I voted as Black, but I am mixed - black and white. (Woo! Sole black cosplayer who voted so far, haha)

Could anyone not tell that already? I mean, really?

It's kinda funny. I've been mistaken for everything under the sun except for what I really am. Doesn't insult me, though. I love people's curiosity. ^_^

And I know what you mean, Nichole, when you mentioned feeling sorry for black cosplayers. It just makes us be more creative and ingenious, heh. I'm just lucky I am a big guy so I can be Barret.

There's some French and English in there, too, though.

I'm probably about as white as they come. I think I'm all over Europe on one side, and then traced back to George Washington on the other. Mostly British, as you can see. Lots of Irish, too.
Also, there's Irish mafia on one side and Louisiana pirates on the other (So much for Pirates vs. Ninjas...they got married somewhere along the line. XD). That's all I know, though. Sorry that it's not very specific. ^^;

We did a commercial for health and I was wearing a dress with a moderately low neckline, and I held up the 'product' which was in a white container, but you couldn't even see it when I held it in front of me. D:

I'm 100% European decent, but I still tan because,
a) I'm Italian (Watch out for the family... and myself)
b) I'm on some over the counter crap. I stayed outside for two hours in overcast weather and got a sunburn... No joke.

Its amazing to hear about everyone's diverse ancestry though. Reminds me of just how big this world is.
