I'd analyze the situation. If it appeared that you were trying to antagonize the panda, or that the panda was threatening you, I would call for backup and attempt to break it up.

I would, except under two restricted circumstances:
1. If it dies from the pipe, I won't kick it, because that would be beating a dead horse.
2. If it's a centaur, and the pipe causes it to fall over, I will not kick it, because that would be kicking a man while he's down.
