Its because of all of your guys commitment that this group moved from a group of kids hanging out in a backyard to what it is now. All of your involvment/actions on the forums & in real life meetups are what made people recognize HDC & respect it. I am grateful for the oppertunity to be a part of this in the first place, let alone a VP. I look forward to seeing us all expand in whatever ways we decide & most of all, have fun together.
Anyway, I agree with Pat about keeping it small/local if at all possible. Not that we wouldn't welcome any people from out of town with open arms...but when it comes down to it, even if we do keep it simple, there still is the matter of group cosplays & possibly skits that we would need to work on frequently together & would be tough with people that don't live locally. We could always have guests of honor & whatnot though...as Pat stated though, we need to all talk it over as a group before anything is decided.
For Friday's meetup BBQ, I am thinking Stuffed Cornish Game Hens, as I mentioned before...so it would help me to have an idea on how many of us are gonna be there so I can pick them up after work. Plus, if you are going to make it, do me a favor and bring just a couple bucks to throw down toward the food if you can...& I mean just a couple bucks, not gonna cost restaurant prices to make lol. I should be off work no later than 3:30 on Friday but possibly sooner...if we can start the meetup early this Friday, that would rock...gives us more time...just let me know.
