Ponyo Contest Question
« on: August 09, 2009, 04:31:32 pm »
I just checked my email and found out that I won one of the admit-two passes for Ponyo, but I've obviously missed the general meeting. Is there any other way of getting the pass? =,)

Good question. Crap, I just missed that. I won tickets too, but thought the email meant the meeting was tomorrow. Shoot. I didn't even get the email til right now.

*shrug* Lame. My fault, though.

All hope's not lost! I emailed Jeff and I think he's going to try and work it out so that the people who missed the meeting can pick up the tickets tomorrow night =)

Hooray~!

I believe that Brandon, our Assistant Operations Director, will be at the screening and that he has all the unclaimed tickets.  Email publicity to verify that, though.

Eh, we don't have a ride to Portland. And, um, it's my mom's Birthday too.

Why would you enter a contest for something you can't use? :/

I'm not trying to be rude about it or anything; it just seems really impractical to have entered if you weren't going to make it anyway.

How long will the guy be there giving out the passes? The email said he'd arrive at 5pm but we won't be there for a bit longer.

Well, anyone wanna tell me how it was? I showed up there and called Brandon, left a message, got no response, so I didn't get the pass and get to see it. Alas, I screwed this up from the start it would seem.

Anyway, hopefully it was good. I'll have to see it on DVD or something.

I went there and got the ticket but they overbooked and I didn't get there early enough. Oh well, I had fun at the Lloyd center with my friend and now have a souvenier ticket :D

Hmm, that is usually the risk of events like these. I honestly don't know why they always overbook. It seems like a stupid thing to do in the first place, create more tickets than there are seats.

We snagged Ponyo posters too because we went back to the theatre as everyone was leaving. All in all a pretty good night~

Thanks Kumoricon!

Pretty much the same thing happened here.  Oh well though; TBH I probably had more fun playing Mario Kart with my friend than I would have at the movie.

They overbook to ensure capacity.  Makes sense.  Kind of lame when you're 20 spots away from getting in though. :/
