Any kind of injury (or disability) will do for any length of time in the show/game/etc, and i do know of a dating sim revolving around handicapped girls... Anyways since disability is pretty broad, so I guess think Karin Maaka as the cap for "this close to being normal."

Salehthesage is definitely the winner for this round!  And to answer your question, no, you can use characters for separate themes.  Say the theme was "characters with hairstyles." And you wanted to mention Scott Thompson in this specific sketch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PiCwvbBlJs  See, you couldn't say SCOTT THOMPSON - NORMAL HAIR.  SCOTT THOMPSON - ELVIS HAIR.  SCOTT THOMPSON - CRAZY HAIR.  Because those are all the same characters.  Likewise, after you named Scott Thompson, someone else can't say "Scott Thompson - Jester hair."  That's what I mean.  It's the same character every time, even if they do undergo changes throughout the show/game/whatever.
