Some wig help ; u ; if possible.

I just found out my friend can't do My Jean Havoc wig , and I was hoping to Cosplay him Sunday.
Sooo , I need some help to find a cheap wig around the area and some tips ; u ; unless you could help me out.

ALRIGHT! I got a Synthetic wig from Joann's NOW i need to cut and style it. TIPS are loved

If you're in the portland area- theres a shop called WIGLAND on 1011 ne broadway. They may have something simular to what you ware looking for and they are reasonably priced. They're just not the 10.00 wigs you get from part city or the halloween store.

Also, Jo ann fabrics has a rather large selection of halloween stuff up right now. You might be able to get a cheaper wig there and then style it yourself.

I would look up "wig styling tutorials" on google. You may find something helpful there in case you dont know how to style, or no one gives you the advice help to do it. I cant help out there as I've never done it myself.

Actually wig land is very expensive. first time I went there the cheapest wig they had was $50.
This should've probably gone in the wig help thread but okay.

Try looking at cosplaywig on ebay, they have decent prices and the wigs get to you within a week.
I also suggest Perimart.com. They have great wigs there that you can probably style yourself but the shipping is like 2 weeks...but the wigs are cheap like 15-25.

You can aslo try looking on the cosplay.com market in the section for wigs see if there is anything you can use. Good luck

Incorrect, Sugarlat. Cosplaywig doesn't ship wigs until three or four days after you get them. Even if you pay for EMS shipping, the earliest you'd get that wig would be Friday, maybe Saturday. If you live in the Portland area and won't be getting a hotel room for the weekend that might be fine, but what if it doesn't come until Sunday? Not to mention from what I've gathered, CLAP is getting a hotel room.

My advice would NOT be the internet. When you get to Portland, check out Wigland, it may be your saving grace.

Alright , I have a wig I bought from Joann's , I bought a long hair one so I  could cut and such

any method to spike and keep it up and nice?

Hairspray and a hair dryer. And a wig head. They sell those at Sally's Beauty Supply, though you might have to ask for one. Then just grab what bits you want spiked, blast it with some hairspray, hit it with the hairdryer and repeat. The back can be sprayed with hairspray and then slicked back with your hands to get the rest of the look of his hair.

I'll be exceptionally hard to miss.

Hair cement would work too, especially if you use it on the base of each spike in the front. Any way you go, though, unless you want to spend ten minutes with each spike holding it up waiting for it to dry I would suggest a hairdryer. Just don't get it too close to the wig.

Actually Wigland is pretty cheap. They have a 10% discount going on right now for Kumoricon attendees. I just bought my wig, which is medium length from them for 27$. But it looks like you already got a wig, so.. just a heads up next time you're looking for one!

Also, not sure how much of a real contribution it is, but around the Beaverton area, I believe there's a wig shop in the Washington Square mall.
