gaming wise: SSBB, SF4, MK Wii tourneys...

I would LOVE to go to all of them, if I can plan accordingly. ^_^

The dances didn't suck last year -.-

I have video footage of the music and the patrons. trust me. it did.  When random people who don't look like they were even there for KumoriCon are yelling "F*GGOT!* in the mic over and over and over.. I would say that that is not a very inviting dance.  Also when the DJ leaves early.  ..that doesn't help.

Here's hoping it's better this year!

Kumoricon's dance last year was better then the Sakuracon dance this year, that's for sure. That Smile DK or whatever all sounded the same. I was thoroughly disappointed. D8

But I hope that Kumoricon's dance this year will beat the Sakuracon dance. Although, I don't think it'll have to try very hard. XD

I liked the SakuraCon dance before SmileDK played..  The second night was just too much SmileDK. I couldn't handle it.  I know a lot of people liked it though. Sadly, I am not in that mix.

All the dances I've gone to in my con experience were not very good. It'd be amazing if they would play anime music/remixed versions, I know, it sounds crazy. Maybe some FUN dance music like Mylo or just like Pendulum or 009 Soundsystem mixed into it. The only band that would be really cool for a con would be like Freezepop heh. Tired of remixed popular music I can go to a club on any night and get that blasted into my face and ears.

I was surprised that the speed dating panel wasn't on the schedule it looked pretty popular last year and was going to check it out this year. Although it might be in there with a coded name but usually it's just "Speed Dating"

I honestly don't go to cons for the panels. XD They usually don't interest me. I go to hang out with my con friends and for the amazing con atmosphere. However if things get slow I'll sometimes wander into a room to see what's going on.

But I think I'm going to make it to at least one of the dances, and the DN photoshoot of course. =P Everything else I'm just leaving up to spontaneity!

I've learned that the more you plan at a con, the less you stick to that plan.

I have to agree, before SmileDK came on things were pretty good. They came on and did a live set which was okay, not my kinda music but I didn't mind too much. That was then followed by a remixed set made up of about five or six songs, most of which had just been performed live. When that set ended it actually looped playing everything twice. At that point I decided to bounce out and do other things. If it wasn't for my friends I would've left during the live performance.

I like a few Smile.DK songs, that dance was too much.  After the first five remixes of Butterfly, Boys, and Golden Sky, I just left wheneve they came on stage or whenever they played any Smile.DK remixes.  They were really out of tune too.  Sounded horrible together :/

Went back in to tear up the rave after they were done though.  That was a long night...


EDIT: Oh wow this derailed.

Anyway, I'm planning on going to the night-1 rave if I'm free, the Forum Meetup panel, and probably living in gaming besides that.  I'll also go to the Oftenly Renamed Panel if RB2 Primaries finish up before it's over.

I'm with boogiepop and Shadow, none of the panels really interest me that much. I think out of all the cons I've been to I've been to maybe 4 panels, which absolutally bored me. DX Although the Harry Potter one at Mewcon was pretty entertaining. That con itself was pretty lame, so we kind of terrorized the the HP panel with our Huffle Puffle invention. XD

Haha, I might bring it along, not sure what I'm going to do for the dances yet though. But I could possibly wear it for a bit. It's hard to see with the mask on, believe it or not.

And just as a reminder, you won't be able to line up for events until 30 minutes before the doors open for the event.  Sorry to sound like a broken record on this, but we just don't have the space to allow people to line up early.

I don't have the schedule infront of me but what I can remember, I'm going to both Yaoi panels, op/end ceremonies, doll meets/panel, bangbang neko panel, learn japanese, and some others I can't remember. I'll also be in the art/exhibitor area a lot. Love buying stuff. XD

I compiled my list of events of interest, and here are the highlights for things I'd like to do:
- Final Fantasy Shoot/Mock-Battle
- Svetlana Chmakova Meeting/Autograph Session
- Concert
- Cosplay Church (8:30am - Sunday - Everyone should come! ^_^)
- Chibisplosion (maybe, depending on time)

I'm spacing at the moment, but these are the main events. Then of course, I plan to just hang out in cosplay a lot.

I'm a little bummed that I'm gonna miss The Anime Hunters panel. I've gone for two years now and it's always awesome, but this year it is smack-dab during the FF Shoot/MB, so I have to miss it. *le sigh*

The 23rd floor is an old restaurant with bar, and we decided to try to add the bar aspect to karaoke.  Since a portion of the area is being used as an overflow area for Tabletop (since it is getting so much bigger) those tournaments have to be 21+ when the bar is open.

Well, I had thought autographs could be done at the Meet Svetlana panel until I saw there was a separate event called Svetlana Autograph, so I am not sure what the meet Svetlana will be like then. I have gone to an autograph session in the past, and it was really loew key and pretty quick. Of course, it was for A-Key Kyo, and there were only THREE PEOPLE THERE (INCLUDING ME!), so it only took a few minutes to get in and out (but I did stay and chat for a while and whatnot). If the Svetlana Autograph Session is like that though, I figure it will go pretty quickly.

If it comes to it, I guess I'll have to deal with seeing the cosplay contest from afar.
Since Kcon is getting bigger, there should really be a couple large screens on each side of the stage like I've seen at other cons, that follow and enlarge the events happening on stage.
