I'm terrible at flirting. ^_^; Which is probably good, because I already have a girlfriend. But, I try to give everyone the same amount of attention and have a genuine interest in what they have to say.  I hope anyone that talked to me got that vibe. ^_^;

I will say this though.. I swear I had a ridiculous amount of girls smiling and blushing at me in my Chi crossplay . . which seemed kind of odd.  Where are you when I'm not wearing it?    Although I was thinking about it, I think a guy dressed up as a girl might neutralize some of the intimidation or fear girls might have about men.  Well, at least in anime loving girls . . Perhaps the girls think that a guy in crossplay is less likely to make an advance towards them?  I don't really know. xD

To be honest, I don't think that flirting is that bad. In fact, it makes it more fun as long as the flirting is understood as long as the person who you're flirting with knows precisely what you mean.

For example, a friend of mine is a very flirty guy but we all know he doesn't mean anything by it so we flirt with him like it's a joke.

Although sometimes, I'll think to myself, "omg, I want that person's picture!" and by then they've already started to walk by.  Sometimes I'll chase them down, and other times I start to get self-conscious and shy so I'll say, "Well, I'll catch them the next time around."  Just depends I guess.    Although at cons I usually am far more outgoing than I normally would be, which is good. ^_^;

P.S. My feet still don't quite feel right from wearing flats with raised heels for 3 days straight. ^_^;

Hook up?  Who said anything about "hooking up"?  It might not hurt to meet some new anime friends of the opposite sex.  I know out where I live, I'm pretty much the only person I know of that likes anime.  If there are others, they certainly aren't in my age group.  Not everyone lives in well populated areas with lots of nerds. :O

Well let's just say this. Flirting can be considered a comfortable way of meeting someone new. Either that, or getting fangirls(boys) to scream and giggle whether or not you sway that way, but you have to take into consideration that flirting is not the only thing that can be used to meet someone new. It can be fun but also just used as an alternative. Just being friendly is all someone needs.
Also, flirting can take things in a whole new direction, to the point of complete strangers asking you out or invading your personal space in order to get closer to you.
People just need to know when the time is right to use the flirting technique and keep it to a minimum in order to not get too uncomfortable or disgusted.
