For my last drive out of Oregon I compiled a CD mp3 of several hours of tunes to melt the miles away.
The playlist included a slew of anime OPs which reminded me of good friends I met at Kumoricon and Sakuracon over the years, then transitioned to music of my heritage and that of my wife, a bunch of Sabaton, and finally some Western music - just in time for the 80mph posted speeds of Utah's Wasatch range, southern canyon lands, and the painted deserts and other Road Runner vs. Coyote landscapes. Here's an 80min compilation that really fit in well:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuC2fPHverAI whistled along with that very masculine theme in "Fistful of Dollars," (06:24)
and the wide grassy meadows and valleys fit well with "Journey to Fort Sedgewick." (41:21)
Running at speed over hill and dale to this compilation's "Gunfight at the O.K. Corral" (05:06) also fit well.
