I got fabric for Tiedoll's coat and Sheryl's Lion dress last week, but have yet to do anything with them. I could probably do the skirt and the bow and everything if I set my mind to it, but I'm lazy and want to pattern out that bustier first.

Also, first or second uniform Tiedoll? References for the second one are harder to find but would go better with the pleather I have, however the first uniform has more references and wouldn't look absolutely terrible in pleather.

I am, of course, talking D.Gray-Man here. Yet again. D:< damn that series for being so addicting!

so... i have a friend willing to make me a claymore that can be unassembled for easy travel (yay) now i just have to see if that fabric i got is a decent color... usualy its a black dress but in that one pickture it was a dark blue...

Go get em Rushi!! I know what you mean, it's the post con Costumeitis. I have so many ideas, but I have to pick one, take a deep breath and get that one done.

I finally got the patterns to alter for my Alice lolita costume. Started on the apron and had a hicup, but that's about 80% done with having to adjust the patern to my liking. Got all the fabric for the dress....color matching was a pain, but cound 100% cotton so it makes me happy to find a solid. Got lots of lace and trim. I'm takinga sewing class this term in school, where I can work on my own projects. YAY forced working on Cosplay!! I plan to take it all year and whip out some neat stuff.

I'm also interested in designing costumes for other people, but don't want to go to the work of making them for them lol taking measurements for others always scared me.

I found a wig that I'm gonna get for a possible cosplay. I need to save up first, and I'm still searching for a good, not over priced Allen wig that I don't need to style that much.

I've planned what I need for my Halloween costume, but that's not all that relative unless I plan on being a random dead girl at K-con or a meet up.

But I'm so torn D: First uniform has more references but the gaudy gold pleather I have would look bad with the design. The second uniform is hella hard and I don't wanna take it on, but it would look much better with pleather.

Not to mention I've been struck with a sudden undying love for The Music Meister. That may get added to some roster for some con, but not Sakuracon.

I made a duct tape dress form

I just have to get some more duct tape so I can close up the back slit I cut to get out of it and the holes. Then stuff it with poly fill.

BIRTHDAY PRESENT TO MYSELF! I'm going to order it at the end of the month. It will be $105 dollars well spent. I'll be able to use it for 5+ cosplays. AND OH LORD I WILL BE ABLE TO USE A CURLING IRON ON IT

YAY BOOGIE!
Ok, I know this isn't kumoricon related, but what do you guys think I should do for my social butterfly.
I was thinking I'd get pink, purple, and orange streaks in my hair (the color of the wings) get a pink shirt, and wear my skinny jeans.
I would Iron on words and phrases to the shirt, and glue said words and phrases on to the wings.

What do you guys think?

Alright I love my trance wig. It is very soft, too bad I need to add a butt load of feathers to it. I am close to being done. I ran out of red feathers so I am painting some white ones red and then put them on tomorrow. I think it looks alright right now....too..Indian like though

That class sounds awesome, I'm so jealous! Are you still at LCC?

My problem now is just getting around to making stuff instead of just dreaming, and finding the time is the real challenge...I'm going to try and keep my sewing machine out year-round from now on though, so hopefully that'll help inspire me.

OMFG I am so very happy with my wig. I did a wig and makeup test. This wont be the white face paint I use but it will work for now. I couldn't get it to go on evenly.

FML I love this costume :3 I plan on adding some more feathers to the bottom part around my chin but I am very very happy with it right now

So, I've decided since I've put a BIG heap of cosplay on my plate
(and I intend to consume ALL of it) I'll join this'er thread to motivate
me to keep up on it so that I can complete all 5 costumes by K-con
2010!

Actually, the first one is for Halloween/Fright Town Invasion, and
all I need right now for that one is a GOOD wig and some brown boots
and Straight orange knee-high socks...

And a watch....
And a Radio/Flashlight... *Sigh*

For K-con 2010 I will be:

Friday: Shuichi Shindou (Gravitation)
Saturday: Sakura Kinomoto (Card Captor Sakura)
Sunday: Ritsuka Ayoagi (Loveless)
Monday: Ryoko Misturugi (Real Bout Highschool)

I actually have one more cosutme I am making for a friend of mine who
agreed to be Soubi from Loveless if I made the costume so... That'll be
fun... I'll see what my plan is for starting one costume at a time.. The
most important two are the Ritsuka and Sakura costumes... the others
will be extra.

@Chelsea- Cute Wobbuffet

I was working on my Cassandra skirt yesterday, I have the length of the skirt measured out and I hemmed it (I did such a pretty rolled hem on about 100 inches of fabric, I'm pretty proud). I have to measure out how bit I want the pleats to be still, and figure out how much I'm going to need to cut off of the ends to make it the right width to start pleating and put in the blue panel.

Ugh, I hope this goes well this time ;.;

Well when it comes to me, it would be better to actually DO it than to talk about it, but what I'm doing is getting a job so I could save up at least $1000-$2000, half for Kumoricon/Sakuracon(?) preparation and half for pleasure spending. What I mean by preparation is room renting, registration, food, glow sticks, the whole shebang. Mainly it's for the cosplay. They can be quite pricey at certain places, especially if your adding on to it with contacts, wigs, weaponry and such.

I bet everyone knows what I'm going to do with the pleasure spending money.

I've got 2 idea for cosplay. As I've said before in several places, I'm going as Estelle from Tales of Vesperia and I'm going as Miki from Shugo Chara for the Cake On A Plane group. I'm hoping to buy Estelle's costume on eBay and make Miki's costume by hand a long with grabbing a few other things.

The biggest thing that I have to do is focus on losing weight. I know that there are girls who are comfortable with how they look in specific cosplays, but I feel like not only would it make me feel nicer in a tighter outfit, but it'll make me feel loads better mentally-wise.

So that's my plan. No progress has happened, but I'm taking baby steps in order to reach my main goal: To have a good time at next year's con. <3

I posted this in the wig section but maybe I can get more advice over here too...

I am looking at making 5 costumes from scratch this year (my 4 plus I have to
make the Soubi from Loveless costume for my guyfriend cause he agreed to wear
it if I did) including styling all the wigs... it's pretty daunting to a first time cos-maker...
So I am in that stage now where in my planning I'm looking to cut corners...

I found a wig thats pre-cut and styled for Sakura... would it be too terrible if I paid the
extra $15 or so bucks and just bought a pre-made wig... or should I stop complaining
and just style the wig myself?

my mom saw some at fred meyers the other day. Apparently they just got them, because they didn't have them the day before K-con when I needed them xD

I just got references for Shion, Allen, and my halloween costume. On Saturday, I'm going to Joanns and stocking up on supplies, and on Sunday, it's a workday for Rachel, Dana and me! 8D we will acctually get things done, and NOT mess around xD

Alright more progress on Trance. I got some of the white part on the chest done. I plan on trying to get a lot more done this weekend. I would like to try to be done by halloween....but the next part is going to take lots of time to do >_>
