Mind you I've still done barely anything. The only cosplay for Scon that's 110% for sure and done is Ryoko which I'm only wearing because NOIZI ITO'S GONNA BE THERE ~~~

I started on my remake of my boots last night. I casted them in resin and they sat over night. Not sure if I need to do another coat or not but they might be done by Sunday

One piece of knee armor has paper mache on it, and it's ORGANIC~ because we only had organic whole wheat flour in the house. It smells like a hippie's bad cooking experiment in my room right now. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT, THAT'S OKAY. It looks fine, and though it may be a little less than dry I can totally put the first coat on the other piece because now I know that it dries just like regular paper mache.

And yesterday I went back over Sogyo no Kotowari and sewed the tags onto the rope between them with some invisible thread, so now they won't try to escape. They might be a little stiff now but that's okay.

Okay, so both bits of armor have paper mache on them now, one has a second coat and the other is still on its first. I'm aiming for at least three coats on each, maybe four. I have enough time to do either. Covering it in something to make it smooth will be another adventure entirely.

Also, both Dark Boots are totally assembled, as you can see here.

Nikki sent me a tutorial on making my Nick wig, so I'm content there.
Going thrift store shopping today to find the majority of that cosplay (Nick).

Ordered my Simon wig as well, it should be here the week before Sakura *Shot'd*

AWRITE.

Both pieces of armor have two coats of paper mache on them. Soon as the one I coated last night dries completely (still has a few damp spots) I'll put another coat on that one.

Still looking for something to coat these things in that'll make them smoother. Bondo will make them way too heavy, and I don't think fiberglass will want to cure in the weather we've had recently.

All my cosplays I have planned for K-con this year are about at 0-5%. It makes me sad, but I still have 6 months to work. If I work fast I can finish them no problem, well, Ashe might be a problem, but it seems like an easy problem to handle. :3

The new armor for my boots is drying. I got the purple paint on them. I need to retouch the gold, add the silver and I am thinking about adding a layer of glue on the inside to help hold the form. Oh yeah, if you don't have access to resin fabric glue works really well, dries faster and is a little cheaper.

So I have most of the top part of Seto's jacket done. The Sleeves are tricker than I thought they would be but I'll figure out somehow. I'm constructing the belt as I type and after it's done I can paint it. And I also need to paint the arm bands, their pretty much ready to go. I'll take that all out together considering it all has to be silver.

I'm still so happy Magnet Luka is 100% done now. I just need to get a job way before k-con so I can have better funding, can move out of this hell hole finally, and be able to easily pay back Molly.

I might post some pictures later.

Well I've mostly finished painting my new Miria shoes. They started are blue and are now red. I really suggest Angelus Leather paint for those who have to get leather or pleather shoes and are having problems finding the right color. It's about 2.50 a bottle and you get your monies worth. I used less then 1/4th of the smallest bottle to paint both shoes. I still need to buy some acrylic sealer and coat them since it comes off from harder things hitting it (dropped my laptop on them on accident and it got a little knick in them >

Also it was COUPON COMMOTION AT JOANNS TODAY. I went and spent money on most of the fabric I'll need for two costumes, Kumatora and Ramona Flowers. Just took pictures of all the fabric I got. I'm going to have to dye the denim but I think it'll all turn out nice

Total tab was $97 but coupons took it down to $45.
I'm a little worried though. Kumatora (the girl I included all the references for) really has little official art. There are a lot of fan arts but the only things that are official are the in game sprite (8-bit picture) and the clay model of her that was in the strategy guide or something. Do you think I should return the darker fabric and get something closer to the official art? It really matches the last picture I included but....ah everything changes so much and I'd rather not >: There was one other color at Joanns that was a little darker then the sprite but that was all that I found. Opinions?

I think what you got looks to be a pretty good choice of color for it. And what with so little official art I don't think it'd make to big of a difference if your a little off. And the shoes look wonderful! Doesn't even look like they were a different color prior, that paint is definitely worth the money.

I saw the picture on the S-con forums and DAAAMN, those shoes are kickin'. And that tape is amazing, might just have to get some for myself. >_>
