although tecknicly its not cosplay... or is renfaire stuff cosplay? ...i made some awesome orange bloomers for under my renfaire skirt o.o; i think ill sleep in them they are so comfy!

Not much but I got a little work done on Ramona Flowers. I bought the thermal on Amazon and DAMN the thing was like a Moo Moo in a large. I took 4 inches off each side. Moved the button over on the pants too.

I like it just one little thing it looks like the hood starts at the bottom of the v on the shirt and yours starts on the shoulders i dont know i might be wrong but I love the pants they look great and the hood is not that bad ether

Thanks~ And yeah, I'm not going crazy on having everything perfect. This is just for the Scott Pilgrim movie premier and for lazy days at con. I didn't wanna make too much for the costume and have it become a major project so I just bought the thermal and pants. I am, however, going to make the coat since finding something similar would be difficult.

jack sparrows baldric (I will be returning it and getting a better one)

the sad thing is they told me the baldric was real leather.... but its not its a cheap pleather the only cool thing about it is the buckle it is actually made of metal when i half expected it to be made of wood this baldric is not worth the price of $189 + shipping I am going to be getting ACMES baldric its more than twice as much but I think it will be worth it

Well hell, man, I think it looks fine. Nobody's gonna be able to tell the difference. Besides, if you scuffle it up and make it look like it's been worn to World's End and back, it'll look great.

But if you really wanna send it back, see if you can't get them to refund on the basis of false advertisement.

AWRITE.

Went and got candy to put in my sleeve pockets for Ukitake (so much bubble gum oh god D: you guys gotta find me and take some or I'mma eat it all) and some more fake blood because 12 little squeezie things just aren't gonna cut it. The lady at the register looked at me like I was all manner of crazy before I assured her they weren't for the same thing. They are though D:

Oh, and I'm painting the insides of my ankle disks for Lenalee, so they don't look like bare Wonderflex. After that it's a matter of making the ankle cuffs out of some pleather and the reflective tape and finishing up alterations to my uniform coat. Then I gotta make the upper leg bands, finish the skirt/belt combo thingy, make the undershirt and put the straps in my knee armor. Then Lenalee's done and I just gotta re-style Deke's wig and I'm finished except for packing.

Packing ought to be interesting. I don't really want to at the moment but I probably should start really soon.

Dude, the first image made me think "Hmm that looks pretty small." Then I saw you holding it in the second and I was like DAAAAAYUM. That axe looks amazing.

So Chane is officially done being hemmed (I know I'm slow but I'm just now done with finals so I can kick into full cosplay mode!) So today I'm going to take the dress to Joann's to find the proper black detailing for the bust. While I'm there I also need to pick up some more dye for my Marie top (since the first attempt ended up not quiet the shade I desired,) and some white, black, and yellow fabric for the detailing on my Fushigi Yuugi cosplay. If I have the time I'm also planning on hitting up Goodwill to get my character shoes and get some of that awesome shoe paint Nikki was talking about a page or so prior to get them the correct color.

Today is going to be a productive day!

Turns out I actually won't need it. Found the perfect shoes for both outfits while out thrifting today. I swear these past two days have been a cosplay gold mine at Value Village.

I'm actually kind of shocked that I actually went out and got my entire to-do list done today, I swear I'm such a terrible procrastinator. XD

Ripped out the facing for my Cassandra shirt so I can redo it...

Been playing around with some stuff for my belt today though! Tried out WindoftheStars Vinyl armor tutorial and it's been working out pretty **** well. I'm using upholstery vinyl instead of stretch but it seems to be doing ok.

I was using cotton over craft over it before and it was wrinkling and puckering like a sonnuvabitch.

Circle is the cotton, weird rounded thinger with a straight edge is the vinyl, I think it looks a lot better. Gonna work more on this stuff tomorrow. Hopefully I can get most of my belt done.

Now time to treat some hot glue burns and head off to bed.

So out of nowhere my dad has gotten really involved in my cosplaying lately, and yesterday he offered to pay for me to take one of the outfits I bought materials for the other day and take it to a costumer/seamstress downtown. I doubt there's anyone who will do it in such short notice, but anytime someone is willing to pay my way for things to get done then I'll definently look into it. So this morning shall be spent perusing the internet and phonebook for possible speedy candidates. =]

Coat got in yesterday for Simon, but it's really hard to take pictures when your camera is being an SOB, and by camera I mean computer *facepalm*

I'm finishing my Simon pants and shoes today, and the wig should be in by the end of the week, hopefully no later :3

So I got a bunch of things done in the past few days. And tomorrow will be a lot more since I have a long car ride up to Olympia with my mom. So I'm gonna work on some things in the car and also while we're visiting my great aunt.

Seto's jacket is done except for the collar and the stud thingies. :3 Meg's shirt will be done tomorrow as well as the harness'. And I'll finish the last 2 PPGZ vests on Saturday since I don't think I'll have time to do so tomorrow.

OH OH! And I won a door prize from Fabric Depot yesterday! I was so excited, especially since it was the one item that I wanted out of all the prizes.

Finished adding the strap and bust detailing for Chane, I just need to add the rose on in the morning and that costume will finally be FINISHED!

Then tomorrow evening I'm going to my friends place so she can help me work on my Miaka dress. All in all I'm feeling pretty good about my progress this week. =]
