Got some major progress at my friends place Friday night for my Miaka priestess outfit. The base of the robe is completely finished, and I'm 2/3 of the way done with the white part of the trim and then I just need to do the black part. After that I just need to work on the crown piece and shoes and it will be 100% finished.

Mon/Tues will then be fully devoted to Marie. =]

Thank god I can pull off not having a wig if I can't get one, I'll just have to style my hair every morning...

Hosnap guys I leave for Sakuracon in three days I am so not ready.

Gonna see about fixing the design on the front of my exorcist uniform today because it's a little wonky the way the commissioner did it. If I have enough time afterwords I'll also take in the sides and I'll be totally done. Then I just gotta find a way to pack everything.

So I'm finally finished with the main part of my Miaka cosplay!!!! I also got my shoes for both Marie and Miaka totally repainted, and I finished my necklace for Miaka. Tomorrow I just need to work out the sash and make the headpiece and Miaka will be DONE!!!! Man, I'm already feeling way less stressed than before; though I still really need to get moving on Marie tomorrow afternoon.

I feel pretty good about everything I got done woday, would have done more but my brother brought his new girlfriend over for the first time so like 5-9pm was all family time.

darted the sides of Lenalee's uniform and redid the design on the front and OH MAI GAWD I'M DONE WITH THE SEWING FOR HER~

Just gotta make the leg bands, which won't be much more than hot glue because I don't want seams on those, and I'm done. I'm almost completely packed, too! Sakuracon here I cooooome~

I just painted the first layer for Athena's tie-thing. I ended up getting these nerf baseballs at the dollar store that're the perfect size, and I got some metalic purple fabric paint. The color took really well to the white, but you can still see the red a little bit.
While that dries, I'm going to make the headband. I had a fabric headband that looked like the right width, so I cut off the fabric and covered it with yellow felt that I glued on. I just need to trim the felt and make the little stars.

Once the tie-thing is dried, I'll sew it onto a little band or something that I can use to keep my tie attached. And then I'll be done!

I'm done with everything, and I just gotta take a shower tonight so I can pack that stuff afterwords and my phone charger in the morning.

I don't think I'm sleeping tonight. I usually stay up until 2AM, and I think I can last another hour before I have to start packin' stuff into the car to go to the train station.

...Or at least as much as I'm going to for Scon. I still need red fingerless gloves, but I failed at making them and decided that I don't really care. Maybe I'll stop by a Hot Topic in Seattle and get a pair or something. Anyways, pictures:

The tie-thing. It sticks out SO far from my chest, I feel ridiculous. Or, I feel like the star of an 80's shoujo because of dem sleeves.

The totally unimpressive headband. It'll fall apart at the con, I promise. My wig looks really red here.

So after finishing the top for my Marie cosplay today I've decided to not wear it for Sakuracon. The color of grey I dyed the sleeves didn't turn out quiet dark enough, so I'm going to wait to wear it for Kumoricon when it will be more accurate. I don't mind though because due to shipping problems with the costumes my friends commissioned, my Soul Eater group isn't really happening anyways.

This means I'll be wearing my Miaka priestess cosplay for the first two days (which I'm actually really excited for because I'm INSANELY proud of it, it's my baby...) and Chane for the last day. I never thought I'd be this excited about dropping a cosplay! =]

tldr: Dropped a cosplay so I'm officially 100% done for SAK. Super pumped for the weekend, etc.

Working on Yoko cosplay right now, I've got so much fabric piled up that there's no excuse not to. Ordering me and Shay's Yoko and Nia wigs next week!

Can't wait to start working on her gun but in most of the pictures I've seen it's a much darker blue than what Yoko cosplayers make it. Hm~

I just got a lot of the fabric for my next costume. I am keeping it a secret but I will post what I got. Maybe who ever guesses it will get a prize. A cookie or something. I don't think it will be too hard. One thing kinda gives it away.

I'll give you the same hints I posted on face book. Its a girl from a video game. The games was on the original ps but now there is one for the psp. She has an older sister that more people would probably know. Her sisters color scheme is black and purple.

Okay folks I need some help. I'm planning to go as Henry Townsend from Silent Hill 4 for Kumoricon this year. The clothes arebn't going to be a problem. What i need to find is someone who makes wigs for a reasonable price. Someone who could make me a wig to match Henry Townsend's hair. If anyone could help either say so on this thread or PM me plkease. And if they are in the Southeast Portland area even better.

I'm trying to attack my upper arms some more, but definitely my upper legs since I'll be in said, "mini skirt" though I plan to make it slightly longer than the characters on purpose anyway. >.>

I am thinking of starting a second cosplay, but not sure. I already have the wig, and the pieces would be easy enough to get together. We will see!
