There are a couple holes that I made way too big that I'll put nail polish on, but other than that, I want them to look more worn.

I thought here would be a good place to ask this.
Where would I go about finding a breathable skin paint? I was talking to my friend Cameron, and he said something about that, although I don't remember the brand he mentioned.
Anyone know what he might've been talking about?

^ are you refering to painting your face green? (you should know i have lots of experiance in painting green) what ever you do DONT USE THE LIQUID KIND it cracks all over the place and totaly sucks... i bought ben nye "makeup" "magicake aqua paint" in kelly green... it looks like a little eye shadow container but you wet the dry cake a little and apply to your face with a sponge. if you ever come down here we have it at magicman (local wig/costume shop)

Dark Woods Circus; my friend Haley and I saw some really cool pictures of other DWC cosplayers that added a lot of things to the designs, since the music video is pretty simplistic. So I've combined both of Meiko's circus outfits (the one with her hanging and the one at the end) into one outfit. And I thought ripped up tights would be cool, since you'll only be able to see my legs from the knees to the ankles.

And speaking of stuff for DWC, Haley and I bought an awesome necklace at Forever 21 with 21 little keys on it that we're going to take apart and use on our costumes.

Yeah I don't care for the original outfits at all, but they have some freaking awesome video outfits. I think DWC was the first Vocaloid song I heard, even, and I wanted to do Meiko in it from the first time I saw her outfits.

@Soundy- I have gotten some stuff called Kryolan body paint. It works really well and might be the stuff that Chelsea is also talking about.

I've used this same stuff for Greed. Kryolan Aquacolor. The Ben Nye Magiccolor is the same stuff, at least in the cake version. The liquid actually works really well too, it's what a friend of mine uses to paint her face/torso/arms for her twi'lek costume. I've got some of the liquid version I'm testing out to see how I like it, for my twi'lek. Just make sure you put on a good sealant over it either way.

Does the sealant make it really hard to get off?

Nope, it comes off just with water and a bit of scrubbing. Though they do make a spray that makes it come off a lot easier.

Both types I mentioned are water based so they come off super easy. The sealant is just so it doesn't come off while you're doing your thing. Makes it less likely you'll have to do any touchups.

...no matter what you do get, make sure it is water based, though. Alcohol based is more expensive, harder to get off, and dangerous around your eyes.

And it's a bunch of Cali friends of mine. We have a Hoshi, Sister, Maria, Ric, and the Metal Bros.

I think we are getting a NW group going though. I know for a fact that my boyfriend is doing Ric, our friend Mark showed interest in doing Sister, and my friend Olivia said she wanted to do Maria.

Too bad he still needs sleeves, which will involve not only MORE bias tape but also CUFFS. And bias tape on those, and a big old cross patch I'll have to make by hand and why am I doing this again oh yes I love Trinity Blood dammit :<

Just have a little bit more bias tape to put on the main vestments, then I can get to work on either patterning out the cassock or the sleeves. Should probably do the sleeves so I'll at least have one complete garment done fabric-wise.

Apparently you can buy grommets on the internet in bulk. I did not know this. I do now, and it's a beautiful thing. This nutty undertaking will require about three hundred of them unless I seriously skimp on them.

Need to top off the bias tape at the tops of the side slits and put bias tape up the back slit, but other than that the main body's done except ARMOR ARMOR ARMOR and a zipper to close it (also, sleeves, but that is a hurdle I do not wish to think about right just now). Oh my god the bias tape looks amazing up close because I didn't topstitch.

Oh wow that's a lot of bias tape. I was dying after sewing some onto the collar of Athena's top before Sak, I can't imagine what sewing that was like, especially since you didn't topstitch it.

Speaking of S-con, I've been far to motivated for those costumes instead of my main priority for K-con.

I've gotten quite a bit of material lately to work on Synchronicity Luka And Taokaka so, that's what I've been doing. And I've been enlisted to make the little panda hair clip for Litchi Faye Ling for a friend. I'm looking forward to that. >:3
