Gonne have to go shopping soon for a new Walter Butler cosplay from Hellsing. My old pants dont fit, my old white dress shirt isnt white anymore and my bleck vest has a nasty white pain stain on it. *sighs*

anyone know where I can get a nice pair or pinstripe slacks, a nice button up white shirt with high colar and a black butler vest?

ARGH THIS COSTUME.

It should be so easy, but it's not being easy. This is the second time I've not used a pattern and the first time I haven't had my mothers help on a non-pattern costume. The left sleeve is going to have to be ripped out and reattached, it looks gross right now.

I'm really just upset with the bunching at the moment. I decided a back panel was necessary to do the darts to stop that...and I mean it's a lot better then it was now. But it still looks bad to me 3: I'm guessing it's because I still don't have enough fabric to let it nicely drape over my ass...so I'm going to have to rip it out and start over I think. Any other suggestions?

I'm so frustrated right now.

Boogie: maybe let it out more along the back darts, from the waist to the bottom hem. As far as I can tell, the bunching is most likely caused by the fabric being too tight below the waist, causing it to ride up.

Anyways Im working on a sniper rifle prop for my return to zero miku. I realized I didnt have hot glue sticks and ran around my apartment stressed trying to find some... X_X ended up totally making a mess and found it in the bottom of some random box.... MOM (makes rage face)

Im using a broom handle instead of a heavy plastic tube or metal rod for it. Cheaper and more lightweight. (srsly bought it at the dollar store) hmm its fun working on this prop :3

I still need a few more things but I mostly have everything I need to make the entirety of my costumes. I even found red shorts for Taokaka! :DDD

Woah, we passed Fabric Depot and the outdoor sale while we were lost!

We hit up Joann's since they're having a Memorial weekend sale and I got Yoko fabrics for the scarf, gloves, top, shorts, and bootcovers. Also, got the perfect base boots at Goodwill. Such a bargain-y day today, can't wait to start working on this stuff~

I've just found out that I may 1.) not have enough crazystiff interfacing to make the stand-up collar on Vaclav's cassock and 2.) have to make a whole brand spankin' new scarf.

Well, at least if I make a new scarf I can screenprint the crosses onto it :3

Sooo... I've been convinced in to being Gumi yet again by my Gakupo -.-
BUT! Since I'm sharpie-ing her Nia wig, I get one free costume comission from her. She really wants to make my Carl... but I don't want to make my Gumi, so I think I might make her do that.
Maybe she'll make my Carl anyways and I'll just have to help her with some wig later on

I made a scarf, have a wig, and bought some sunflowers and fabric. Boots have been chosen but not purchased.

Sailor Moon:
I'm casting another pendant and bought wig material as well as fabric.

So far so good! Gotta touch up the beads around the spacers because I had to tape them off so some of the bead surfaces didn't get painted, but man this looks pretty good.

It's all just pinned on at the moment, gotta figure out how to attach things first :|

Gotta paint the left epaulet and make my rosary, and the chest/neck bling for Vaclav is all done!

FFFFFFFFFF this is gonna be such an uncomfortable costume with the cassock on over all this : | but that's okay! Probably gonna pattern the cassock tomorrow because I am le lazy and failed the first time so I need to rethink my strategy.

Aaaaaggh! I killed this thread.

Some more updates! Bought a whole bunch of stuff including a pattern for Russia's jacket.
Made my fourth crisis compact, and made Russia's little ribbon thing that looks like the Latvian/Austrian flag with a star on top.

I hand made a faceted star! I'm so proud!

ALSO: new idea for cosplay!
Dress in old jeans that fit well through the rump but are loose through the leg. Wear a comfy old t-shirt like light grey in color. Dye your hair a muddy blonde and flip upside down on your bed. Spray paint your hair so it sticks up completely revealing a large forehead. Talk slowly. Finally... roll around in a kiddie pool filled with glitter.

TADA! Edward Cullen! Ready to go!

Soooo, the group is getting together soon and are going to be working on rehearsing out skit. (guess I'm still going. I'd feel terrible if I didn't.)

I found shoes for Luka! Their amazing man, and I can use them for steam con. <3333 and/or pirates.

And wig land has a really nice wig that will work for a few of my cosplays. Eeeeee!

I need to fix up Kaiba but that won't be too hard. And then I've planned out mostly how I will make all of my own and help with Quinci's cosplays.

One edge down, five to go. Then all the grommets will be on the main body of the vestments and I still have to put sleeves in this and get the grommets in those D:

I don't even want to think about putting grommets in the cassock at the moment. That's another hundred or so that will not be fun.

I just stubbed my Sailor Moon wig and it's too small! I'm going to have to make some wefts or something to hide my hairline. I didn't like the bangs and wanted to modify them anyways, but it's still discouraging.

Luckily I have a LOT of hair to work with so hopefully I'll come up with something. If not, I'll just buy a new one. Two and a half months to go, after all.
