So I finally have some pictures to show you guys! Costume's still in basic construction, most everything's held together by pins, as you can see. Definitely coming along. Still SOOO much to do. I'm really excited about it though. 8D

Oh, that blouse looks nice so far Emasik. How exactly are you doing that tapestry thing though? Are you coloring it as a guide for embroidery?

I have a massive progress dump, here I go.

Started out today dying my first wig. It was interesting. I used FW Ink and followed a tutorial on CosCom. I started out using the spray method but the wig was really thick, layered, and had crimped hair near the base. The dye just wasn't like...getting to it. I gave up and made another batch in a bucket which was able to soak the wig and get those hairs. I was also constantly drying it with a hair dryer I think it turned out ok. After rinsing it out it it got a bit lighter which upset me, I'm worried that was because I didn't let it dry long enough. I redyed it again, so I'm going to let it completely dry over night before I rinse it and start styling tomorrow!

Besides that I finally got all that gross volume out of my Miria wig so it'll work! It's pretty much done for AX (I'm having a friend cut it when I get to LA). For Kumoricon I'm going to need to reconstruct that top black strip and the sleeves. I also dabbled in casting resin for the first time the other day and made my first resin gem. I love it! It came out so well! The base of my pendent is paper clay that I sanded down and painted. Then I finished my Kumatora boots.

8D But yes, it's my pattern for the apron. It's ultimately a stencil, I'm using it as a guide to cut out my fabric pieces, then I'll applique them on to the weavecloth that I dyed. Tedious. T: Just drawing that design to scale took the better part of a day. > 3 >;;
Also, I found my buttons! Or, buttons that I can use. They were too glossy, so I sanded the crap out of them before spray-painting them gold. Turned out nice. Let's hope the paint doesn't chip too easily. -rolls-

YES!!! I've found the shirt, T-shirt, and pants that I'll need for Henry Townsend I just need to find a good wig shop to help with a wig. And as for the shoes. i don't imagine that'll be too difficult. How hard is it to get a pair of shoes in Portland? Not very hard so things are looking up and I'm happy.

Small cross, pentagon and large cross with crown of thorns are the components of my rosary, which I'll assemble tomorrow. Vaclav is such a blatant Jesus allegory that even I can pick up on it :\

The cross with the fiddly bits that will no doubt break is going on one of the many strands hanging from my belt.

These are the coolest contacts and are used in professional movies. Some, like the mirrored contacts, are only for professional movie use.

Another belt strand is completed, my rosary pieces are ready to be assembled just as soon as I get home, and I've got the gold bands going on my belts looking absolutely fantabulous. Gonna go put grommets in my belts now and wait with bated breath for my belt buckles to show up.

Oh, and I'm totally making my scarf next week. Long and white with crosses on both ends? Yesplz. Makin' it outta fluffy white gabardine, red twill for the crosses, gold bias tape and silver stuff I got at Walmart. sakdjhflksjdf so happy I'm making progress~

The only thing I'm ever making my own belts for ever again is another Trinity Blood cosplay. Since I don't think I'll be making any more male Trinity Blood outfits after this one, I don't think I'm ever making my own belts again.

Ffff everything is looking amazing in here guys!

I don't have a camera so I can't take progress pictures but right now I'm working on Yoko boots. Almost done with one kind of! It's my first time working with shoes so I hope these mothers turn out okay.

I might make Kallen's bunnysuit sometime before Kcon and I've been looking for that awesome black bunnysuit picture with all the pieces cut out for reference- if anyone has it I wouldn't mind at all if they posted it here for my viewing pleasure ;-D)))

So I have an important question: what should I make the choker out of? Velvet was suggested to me. I need something not itchy or sweaty that comes in or can be colored purple. Ho-hum. Also, someone who knows something about makeup needs to advise me. I have to go shop for some basic skin stuff; primer, concealer, foundation. I have bad acne and oily skin. T: Also, what's this I've heard about sealant spray and setting powder? Cause I'd like to prevent melting, yes. Halp please?

you could possibly make your choker out of sports clothing like material (IDK what that stuff is called) so it doesnt bother you when you swear...
Also on make up if you have bad acne get ALL OF THE BAISICS. foundation, concealer (LOTS AND LOTS) and powder. Get something weather proof and with some sun protection. (also go buy your makeup at the drugstore...)

I found a pair of boots at Goodwill that had a perfect heel and I cut them up and am currently making the rest of it with red and white pleather. It probably would be easier to buy them off ebay but that stuff's usually dang expensive

Vaclav has hit the 20% completion mark. Just 80% left to go and two months to do it :3

I think, when I do the cuffs tomorrow, I'll go ahead and make the cuff armor out of Wonderflex and the cufflinks and arrow bits out of sculpey. Gotta decide on how I want to attach the cross on the right upper arm, though D: should be fun!

this is actually the second time I've made it..
The dress only took about a day, maybe 2 days when you add up the hours here and there I spent fixing little things.
The hat however took quite a while since I didn't pick it up again until recently. I know I made the base of it in about a day, and then it took about 2 weeks of sanding and painting in gesso to get it smooth enough to where it is now..

Let's just say it took about a month when you put it all together haha. Though technically you could say I started in October and didn't finish until yesterday

EDIT: OH YEAH! And I took some pics today

This was this morning, currently I've taken the zipper out and shortened it a bit, and am now about to put the zipper back in. I also fixed the trimming because part of it was curling up under the dress.

SLEEVES I HATE THEM. and i hate computers breaking down and me taking 5 hours out of my life to hopelessly fixing it but then in the end I just wasted a bunch of time ;A;

Alost done with return to zero I just need to finish the end of the gun and finish the paintjob, make a headset, sew on sleeves, zippers, and blue bias tape

My cuffs for Vaclav's sleeves look really derpy, but I can't undo it unless I want to take apart the entire sleeve. I'll just have to find a way to make them look less derpy, I guess D:

awww you flatter me, but in all honesty I am in no condition to be taking commissions..I haven't been sewing for very long, I'm still a MAJOR beginner and there are many flaws that I'm hiding in this dress.
