Okay all you anime fans out there I want to really hear from you now! I, Animeman73 want to know what are 5 of your favorite anime series current or past? To show you what I'm talkling about I'll list 5 of mine.

1. Outlaw Star (Just the most awesome anime of all in my opinion.)
2, Tenchi Muyo OVA (I'm talking the original series.)
3. Robotech (Watched it since I was a kid, a super awesome show in my opinion.)
4. Trigun (Vash may a goofball but you can't help but like the guy.)
5. G Gundam Wing (This is a series that really turned me on to anime, the characters, the story lines, it was all...EPIC!

Well there are 5 of my favorite anime series. I'll list more later but I don't want to hog this thread. Now anime viewers I want to hear from you. What are 5 of your favborite anime series? READY....GO!!!)

* Code Geass - It did get a little crazy in the second season but I'll never forget that beautiful finale <3

* Blood+ - Also kind of crazy and far-fetched but I just love it.

* Digimon - Lol, if it even counts.

* Pokemanz - From my childhood, just like Digimanz.

In no particular order:
*Fullmetal Alchemist (Awesome)
*Digimon (Do I even need to explain this? xD)
*Pokemon (Childhood animes for the win!)
*Araiso Executive Committee OVA (Tokito and Kubota are just epic.)

I'm not really sure, since I like most animes about the same amount if I think they're cool. >< So I can only list four.

It's really hard to pick just five, but I tried to go with those that have impacted me the most, and these all are definitely at the top of that list (with some others, too).

Those 3 are awesome. It's hard to pick just 5. Besides my top 3, the other 2 might rotate in and out depending on my mood. I feel like I'm short changing so many good anime just by picking 5. ^_^;

it was early 90's when i watched dragon ball...which was before any englished dubbed-anime for me... 2009 minus 15 years...1994...about that time... so *sigh*. I'm just old. Noooooooo! LOL.

Exactly. It's hard for me to pick just 5, because really I love a ton, and there is just such a fine line between those that made it into the list and those that didn't, heh.

Overall? Wow... it's hard to choose. x.x I guess I'd have to say:
1. Pokemon (childhood nostalgia)
2. Ouran High School Host Club (the humor and how well the shoujo-esque is done)
3. Hamtaro (the cutest are just the best D': [English dub, though])
4. CardCaptor Sakura (best magic-girl anime out there)
5. The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi (addictive, in my opinion)

I give you kudos for Sailor Moon and Tenchi Muyo. Those were my all time favs back in the day. I still can't get rid of my manga collection. xD

Gah! How can I limit it to just 5!

1.) Scrapped Princess - One of the first anime I ever watched at TUNAC years ago, and still one of my all time favorites. I rate it on equal terms with FMA as a great anime for jerking around your emotions.

2.) Stellvia - The first Space Opera anime I ever viewed and still among my favorites. I think I have always had a soft spot for school anime, and a school anime in space.... well that's just a win win no matter how you look at it. Nadesico and Vandread are similar and Starship Operators, Planetes, and Crest/Banner of the Stars as well, although the later are much more serious in tone. Shows like Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star, I suppose also fall in this category. Love space opera.

3.) Chobits - OK, this is the first anime series I ever rented from Emerald City Comics, and the first I ever purchased. It is the only one I have written a Fanfic for, and the first I got the manga of. Yeah, I think I like this one.

4.) Azumanga Daioh - I don't know if it is my favorite, but it is one of the best comedy, school, slice of life anime ever. I place it next to K-ON!, Ouran Host Club and Toradora as my all time favorite in that genre. I really can't say which I liked the most.

5.) A really hard choice. I want to say Sierei Moribito as the most beautiful animated series I have ever seen, but I also want to mention Full Metal Panic as one of the greatest school and action comedies ever, as well as Inuyasha and Ranma, and Rurouni Kenshin. Mahoromatic also.. GAH! I CAN'T DECIDE!

It was kind of cool. But I saw too many in that genre, and have them all mixed up in my head now. Just looked it up on anidb.net okay, so it had something a bit more going on than the usual angst. Yeah, the story grabbed me. Not my top 5 favorites, but... better than others.
