For me it hurt the first time because I don't have any vision problems so I never needed contacts or anything, but now that I know more about what to do, they hurt after about the 9th hour of leaving them in. /veeeerryyyystupid/

What about like putting them in, and taking them out? That's the only thing hindering me from getting them. Plus te fact that I'd probably forget about them and then end up sleeping with them on. Which I'm told is very bad.

Well....I can't really explain that to well. I mean you put them in from the bottom and slide them up. And getting them out you pinch them and they come off. I'm used to touching my eye so....it might be a little more difficult. I'm pretty sure you won't forget about them because after a while it feels like you have glass in your eye.
I slept we mine in once, and it didn't hurt me. :0
What you could do so I could show you seeing as I fail at explaining things, you could come up to my hotel room (If I get one) And see how I put mine in and take them out.

What'd you break your rib at? My Demyx got me in a head-lock, and totally got my left knee in my left rib. ;( Not good for Rube.
I use my phone camera, then just FWD to my email, then poof, to my photobucket, and then to here. xD Lotsa steps when I don't have a good camera.

I bet all cosplayers are accident prone.

I felt that way about a month before the con last year. Crying might help your stress, and help you calm down, but you'll be fine, I promise. I haven't started a lot of my cosplays, either; heck, I hardly have any idea who/what I'm doing. Just take it a day at a time. I'm sure you'll make a great Xiggy; just take it piece by piece. Before I make/work on a cosplay, I make a list of things I need to do/make, and sketch out the designs, and such. If you do that, I think it might help you feel a little better.

The only cosplays I have even remotely closed to finished are the ones I did last year. Don't feel bad! Ven is giving me quite a good scare, too, but I know that, if it's meant to be, and I stay dedicated, he'll be finished in time.
