I was thinking that I'd start with a base of a swim suit/leotard, and work from there. The things on her legs have shin-guard like qualities, so I thought that's what I could start the leg pieces with.

I know that I can't make this from scratch, but I think I can make it work if I have all the right materials.

@soundninja: FFFFFF. Fran would make my kcon worth it for me! I would say probably start with a leotard. I don't know what really to tell you though.

I know of someone who did Fran. She said she used fabric, model magic, liquid latex, and wonderflex. (I've heard that wonderflex is really expensive.) It would be awesome to see a good Fran, though. She's one of my favourite characters in XII.

OMG THAT WOULD BE SO AWESOME! I LOVE FRAN SO MUCH, and I like Ashe too, BUT FRAN IS SO AWESOME IF ONLY THERE WERE A BALTHIER I COULD THEN DIE HAPPILY! OMG OMG OMG *slaps himself* okay....I'm good....sorry I go into fangirl fits when I hear about Fran, shes sweeeeeeeet. Anyway, it sounds really awesome. Good luck I myself would never dream of attempting XII cosplay, it so darn complex. But I'm sure there is a way to do it. I hope you can!

I can help too~ I'm fairly good at making armor out of craft foam and I'm working on my cardboard and wood skillz! xD Once I have some money, I'll start practicing fiberglass too~ (I'm making my friend's Eiko's horn and stuff with it)

I'm going to be Oerba Dia Vanille from the upcoming Final Fantasy 13. I really adore her design, and my friend begged me to be her since she's going to be Serah instead of Freya - money issues-.

It's going to be the first official costume I've ever made - before was a Jasmine and Pokemon Gijinkas - but it looks like fun? D8
