And nope, all new PS3's are not compatible with PS2 games. There were only a couple different versions of the PS3 that did. One was the version that came bundled with MGS4. That's the version I made sure to buy so I don't have to have my PS2 hooked up too <.<

Yeah, the new PS3s, for lack of a better word, suck. Mainly 'cause most of my games are PS2 games and I still like to play them so I'm glad we got a version that is backwards compatible. Wish our XBOX 360 hadn't fried though. Darn used console. =/

The only place that has called me for an interview will let me know sometime this next week if they want me back for a second interview. I haven't received word yet from any where else I've applied. Bah. Life is fun.

Thank goodness the only things I really need to get for Otacon is a wig... we have similar hair but mine refuses to act like his and I know a wig that would do the job. And some new jeans. My old pair for him got dyed green back when I didn't know anyone who went to k-con would be doing MGS.

It is times like this, when I'm not strapped for dimes or pennies, that I'm glad Hal doesn't have all the guns, armor, holsters, etc. that everyone else does.

I'm not sure who I'd pick to be in the movie. It'd be weird to have anyone but David Hayter be Snake though. And I'm not sure Natalie Portman is badass enough to be Meryl. Clint Eastwood as Ocelot would be omgawesome. I could see Josh Holloway as Liquid, though I'd probably just be seeing Sawyer <.<

Yeah, I thought I remembered something about an actual movie... but that makes me more nervous than stoked 'cause so much could go wrong... so very, very wrong.

LOL. I didn't make that list of ppl. I know what you guys are saying, a movie could suck... a lot. DBZ was a sad event. Though, I hear Hideo Kojima would help make it. So I trust him, for the most part. ^^ It's hard to pick out ppl who look like the characters and would be bad ass enough. Cate Blanchett I think could look like a good Boss, but I'm not sure if she could do the moves. Maybe the chick off of under world could pull of Meryl, Kate Beckinsale. IDK. I think if they do make a movie, it wouldn't fallow the games too much. I mean, they could do an in between mgs2 and mgs4 thing. I think it could be cool. :3 The Mei Ling part made me laugh.

So, I was about to reply... about an hour and a half ago. Narunik's jamlegend link distracted me waaaaay too well. Haha.

And Maki, that's exactly what I thought of, haha!

On another note, this is bugging the heck outta me. In MGS2 can anyone tell from gameplay if Otacon's labcoat has sewn on pockets or flaps with inset pockets? I got his coat two years ago and mine has sewn on pockets... the gameART and (oddly bulky)figure of him have inset with pocket flaps. Now, while I KNOW there was a very compelling reason why I bought a coat with sewn on pockets and haven't changed them to reflect the art exists... I have no idea now. I have forgotten and the computer I used back then sleeps with the fishes.

My request - does anyone have in game shots of Otacon's lower pockets for his coat? If so, may I see? I can't find anything that is clear enough to show them yet and if they are different I wanna conclude if I am either gonna destroy perfectly usable pockets for perfection or if I will keep them as they are and still be accurate.

I'm personally hoping for the latter. Ha. I love my labcoat and it's roomy pockets.

Hisuji - Yeah, I've seen that figure... thought maybe I had seen some game images that had indicated otherwise. But this was a couple years ago, my memory isn't so good!

Oh well, I'll probably end up modding the pockets anyway. I mean, if the official art and a figurine have them as pocket flaps then that's pretty hard to argue with. Plus, I'm bored as heck so some seam rippin' would do me good.

I think the reason I bought the jacket I did was because the lapels and length of the jacket were accurate...

@NARUNIK, No, BUT it will be much more enjoyable if you do play the others before. All the games can be played by them selves, but its the whole Snake arc and how he came to be, yadda yadda, that makes it really great.

And I agree, while you don't technically need to have played them, it really is good just so you know the history of everything going in. MGS2 takes place after MGS1, MGS3 takes place back in the 1960s and you play as Naked Snake, who will later become Big Boss.

I didn't really like MGS3 personally..it was just soo involved, what with all the crazy camo and all.

Well, Naked Snake (guy from 1960's) is Big Boss. Not Solid Snake. They're different people... on a mental level, at least.

They aren't the same. Naked Snake was Big Boss. Solid Snake is different. In MGS1 we learn that Solid and Liquid are clones of Naked Snake/Big Boss.

The original Metal Gear (the NES one) actually had Solid going against Big Boss.
