Well, I guess if it's black, and not too thin, it should work. Just make sure you have enough of the same kind, so you don't have patches of different fabric/color.

As for it being epic, of course we think so since we are cosplaying from it. Would we cosplay an anime if we did not feel it was epic enough to be portrayed?
