Well' actually. there is a Panel at the con for the Mini skirt army. And there's the Resembal rangers which is for Edward. So in theory there is already a Army of mini-skirts.

Especially since I'm actually trying to recreate his hair, unlike most cosplayers I see who just have a straight green wig on...

It probably will be dubbed. But the voices will suck -___-

I thought that the dubbed versions were great! Plus better openings with the dubbed version. Well.. They didn't have the 1st opening for the Japanese subbed version.

Narunik, I'd say get a blond wig for cheeper and just style it yourself, especially since that wig would need extra styling anyways (has no antenna ;A;). And it would also be cheaper to just get the jacket and then make the rest of his outfit. At least the pants and top. The belt would be more difficult, but possible to make, and then his black jacket would be fairly easy to just make. And then you need boots.

and I agree with the wig, you can find a way cheaper one than that and style it yourself

And you don't need automail...If you're wearing his full outfit, then none of it shows. It just adds to it mainly for some good pictures. But just for cosplaying, it's not needed.
I'd say, if you have the time and money, do it (at least the arm), but other wise, worry about the outfit first.
