Probably measure just a few inches below of what you are now. I'm not sure really. I mean it's always better to have the costume a little bigger so maybe just make it at about what you are now(just a little smaller) because sound like you don't need to lose much before your at your wanted size.

Tofu, not really. Mainly it's the fact that it's on Easter weekend, and family's Christians...
But I will try! I might be able to convince mom that it'd be for my 18th birthday gift (since my b-day is close to con) ^^

And I think the fabric looks fine. Just saying, but who cares if it's a little dark, as long as all the yellow parts match, no one will notice ^^
