I'll be Kaito on Day 2 Dark woods circus version though... But I'm not sure how much we'll be able to be around the con space because we are entering the contest, and there are meetings spread thoughout the day to get ready. But when we aren't at at meeting, we'll be around. Maybe down by the vendors too. I'll keep my eye out for a Miku xD

I think gen-swap Miku is Mikuo...buuuuut I really know nothing. *has been dragged into fandom by friends* One of said friends is doing Daughter of White & 1925 Haku for next year though...I get to do steampunk redesigns and create a few costumes for 1925, including Haku's. *dies*

Most of our group dropped out so we have Rin (me), Kaito, Miku and Akita.  For the shoot we have Fear Garden Rin (me) and Synchro. Miku.  Her staff is AMAZING.  It's 8 feet tall.

I hate it when I do that, but I bet it still looks pretty cool and will be your own variation for con. Just go with it, you can always do another pair sometime later (I've had to do that too)

She's really not too hard to cosplay. I had a friend make the silver vest, I bought the tie, made the belts (painted the triangle shapes), bought the stretch pants and white boots, made the light up earphones, and styled the 4' long wig (after adding extensions)
I think the toughest part was the sleeves. I thought I can make them in a day or two....a week later I was still working on them, mainly because I decided to make the panels light up (cosplayers curse) but in the end it was worth it and I have alot of fun being Haku.

Oh and I decided to make a plushie Sake bottle as carrying around a real one is not a good idea at con, Lol
I copied the 1.5 liter Sake that I like to make the plushie one.
It's been a real kick to cosplay Haku, I'm kinda like the older sister to my friends at con so its fun.

ThanX! *blushes* well, I'm kinda over committed for props and cosplay stuff right now but I can look for the parts I used and tell you what I used & how I put it together if you want.
The sleeves were hard for me cuz I'm not that good at sewing so I'm sure most people could make nicer ones for you.
The panels on the sleeves are really just smoked plexiglass with a music score painted on them and then 2 light strips mounted behind them. Pretty easy really.
The headphones came from a 2nd hand shop and the lights are those little light orbs they sell to go on key chains or dog collars.
A fun project all in all.

Is there a decision on moving the location for the shoot. (Personally I'm not fond of Director's Park...but if that's the consensus, that's fine.)

Here are a couple of places either mentioned by others, or I think would be kinda cool:
Director's Park
South Park Blocks
Ankeny Square (in Old Town - just a short MAX ride away)

There's also the:
Keller Fountain
Salmon Street Springs
Waterfront Park

That's the one. My group's only problem is that two of us have a panel to run that starts at 2:30, so we need to be back at the hotel by like 2:15, 2:20 at the latest, which means if the shoot is too far away, we probably can't make it. But I agree, the fountain would present some pretty interesting shoots. The Keller Fountain is at 3rd & Clay, which is a good 12 blocks...

Director's Park and the Park Blocks are probably the closest choices.

We'll try to make it to where ever is chosen, but we do have a commitment we can't break...I wish the timing was just a little earlier - oh well.

Now, the con is drawing closer and we need a place to go.
Keller is just to far, especially for the people who have other things to do that day; i.e; Me and Kris

So we have Directors Park, Waterfront, Park Blocks, and Ankeny Square.

I honestly think Directions Park is the best bet.
