I finished one of my Ariel cosplays! Her mermaid version I'm only going to wear for a photo shoot and that's it. But for the formal dances this year at the cons I'm going to, I made her silver dress she wears at the end when her dad turns her human again. It turned out really nice ^^

Anybody know of a wig place that sells really good(cheap) short haired wigs. I need a blood red one for Lock but don't want to get a crappy cheap wig...unless I need too. I know value village sells pretty nice wigs for cheap but that's not till Halloween. :/

@Tofu: I have a red wig that I got for my Ariel and when it arrived it was nothing like what I needed. I straitend out most of it, then decided it wouldn't work at all and gave up and got a wig I could depend on. If you want it I can give it to you. It still needs a little work, but a free wig is a free wig

Well we have the main ones I guess but not everyone. We have the delinquents, jack, sally, and oogie. We were going to have a mayor and a Doctor but thats not happening anymore.

I have way too many Disney cosplays that I want to eventually do. And not just the typical movie versions either.

I really want to do a sexy Disney version, pirate Disney (non-POtC) version, possibly a Steampunk version, and maybe a modern-day version. I get too much inspiration from DA. x.x

As for who I'd do, I've been wanting to do Belle, Aurora, and Ariel. I love Jasmine, but I'm not dark enough to go as her.

I always put in 120% when I make a costume. I hate making a bad outfit, cause i get pissed at myself. But I don't know what outfit I would do. Briar Rose's dress, or Aurora's pink one? I hate pink, but it would be fun to make that dress....x.x

It actually makes me mad that all the pictures of Aurora is her in the pink dress. For most of the movie she's in the blue one (Merrywhether is persistent, xD)

It's true! I'm glad I'm not the only one who though/thinks this! It always did make me sad that you could never find any dolls or stickers or w/e with Aruora in her blue dress.
I used to watch the very end when the dress would change from pink to blue and see what color the book actually closed on.

I think the reason the pink one was more popular is cause pink is "more girly" and "more princessy" than blue. I'd just be worried that people wouldn't realize who it is. Besides, I have so many blue cosplays as it is. I need a different color! x.x

I have the ultimate solution to this.

Wear a white reflecting dress for Aurora, then have Flora and Merriwether cosplayers shine pink and blue flashlights along the way.

But the only other reason for not choosing blue was because Cinderella already has blue as her basic ball gown color. Even though in the movie, she had white, and before, her pink model. Oklay, so both of them have had pink and blue dresses at some point.

Though Briar Rose's day dress would still be recognizable yet be one that no one's seen in person before. Plus the way it looked, it seemed so all-terrain to wear.

I swear I talk about cosplays as if they were hot rods.

Haha!!! I think we all do!

I think as long as you got Aurora's hair right you will be reconized no matter what dress you choose to do. That hair is very signiture and unmistakable.

Ya know I just realized Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella have a lot in common in the Disney versions. Which is more proof Disney can't be very original on their own. lol

If I do Aurora, I'll most likely do the Briar Rose dress, just because it would be a bit easier, and much easier to more around in.

And the reflecting dress would be so much fun, but very difficult/expensive to do. x.x

Now that you bring up Cinderella's pink dress, someone should do that cosplay. I'd like to see how many people actually recognize it. ^__^

Yes that one.

And actually Snow White sums it all up. Like Cinderella, she's a princess hidden behind rags at first, then flees away into the woods, falls under a sleep spell and gets awakened like Aurora does...but it's all in one single movie!

That should work, just don't do the tie-dye pattern that they did in the movie where two color spells splashed on the dress at the exact same time.

I know I would. First it's pink, so easy to spot in a crowd. Second Cinderella has her golden brown hair let down, so easy to not confuse her with Princess Peach. Third, the back I remember, had a sash in an x design then wrapped around and tied into a bow.

Off the record: I'm amazing myself at how much I know from the princess movies without even seeing them in a long while. Am I feeling alright?

Very true. Imagine if Tim Burton got a hold of them....Actually I'd like that...I'm sad that he's teaming with Disney with AiWL, b/c he could've done so much more without them holding him down to PG-13...

And from what I've seen of AiWL, it looks really good. It's got the Tim Burton-esque style, and it seems more based off the novels, which is going to make it darker.

I've already begun partially styling it. :3
