Aero: I don't think we're gonna start deciding dates for Kumoricon events quite yet. Although if we do a PJ party again, it'll probably be Saturday night.
Maybe this time I'll make it to the masquerade instead of being riddled with crazy all Sunday.

I really have no idea when the majority of people are gonna do Hetalia. I just know that this time I will not be wearing Austria for 4 days straight. 8D

When I do Hetalia is going to depend on how the schedule works out. I'm thinking about throwing together a Pyjama!Ireland for the (hypothetical) pj party in addition to my historical one...

And yea, no. I have plenty of money for Hetalia. xD I'm almost positive that I'll be going as Canada at one point or another. The only reason it's not 100% is because I don't want to be alone, and my sister changes her cosplay ideas every day, and she might bail on me at the last second.

COME ANYWAY. There are a lot of really awesome people in the Hetalia group - my main reason for cosplaying Hetalia is the group, not the series. xD;

I was going to as how you made one of those, but now I guess I don't have to. xD That was my logical theory to begin with, but I questioned. (Papier mache on my face was logically questionable, but since when have I done anything that wasn't? xD)

Oh, Aero, you won't be alone! Kumoricon '09, the group was HUGE. If you go to one of the Hetalia events (which I'm supposing the planning for will start maybe around the time the home page starts advertising '10), you'll be passing people you've met left and right. XD It was my first convention, and I only knew 2 people beforehand, so you'll be fine. :3

@Cassi: The first thing I thought was "HEY! ...I think I know this person!" And it's you. xD My next thought was "COPENHAGEN~". You can guess why. xD I like the moves you've made. Have you tried it with more than one person yet? Just to make sure they work...

No, I haven't tried them with more than one person yet, because I don't really have anyone to do it with. Maybe I'll try to teach it to my little bro.

With what I've done, I know that the Germany and Japan move should be done to each other. America's works out because the move before and after are both facing away. France's will be to England's back, but that can work... But then China and Russia are kinda eh. Those have rhyming lines though. So I don't want to change them. It's haard. xD

Me and Hashi will probably be Mafitalia Romano and Spain for the masquerade, and we debated just getting white masks, like a Tuxedo Mask thing. Of course, matching tomato masks would be much more entertaining.

I'll just say, though, that it takes FOREVER TO DRY. You were warned. xD; And if you take it off before it dries completely, it'll either curl in or flatten out ... the first one I made didn't turn out too well, but the second (the one I wore to k-con) did, cause I knew what didn't work.

I don't like storebought masks because the eyes are never spaced right.

I'm not sure if any of us here has a jet plane or a car, even though a mask-making party would be really great. :X (I think only Miria lives close enough. :\) I live across from the airport where some of Nike's private jets are (along with a few veeery expensive cars), but I think asking for a ride...yeah. Never gonna happen. >.>

lol I got ahead of myself and posted before I'd finished typing.
I got my mask base at Michael's for like two bucks or something and it was awesome. If anyone goes that route I would suggest not painting on it, though, since it's a slick plastic that may or may not work with just a layer of paint. I hot-glued fabric to it though and it was totally fine (and in my humble opinion I think fabric looks fancier than just paint, though paint is still awesome, don't get me wrong).

I would be up for a mask-making party, by the way. If that ever occurs.

France proposing to England would be hilarious.

Paint would probably stick if I covered it with my modeling paste first... but I also want to make some with fabric. If I was making them for myself I might just do papier mache, but I'd want bases if I was making them for other people. Or maybe if it's slick plastic I could papier mache on the base then pop it off and make copies...

If you drive south of Ashland, you go over some mountain pass (Shasta, I think?) and then you're in California.

I'll be back in Portland one week at the end of november, then for winter break (12 December to the beginning of January, except I might go to visit relatives - kind of depends on whether we get another snowstorm that blocks all the passes south of Ashland) and spring break (14-28 March; I'll probably be in Portland the whole time). Spring term ends 5 June.

So yeah, when I'm there, we should get together and do something, like a mask-making party or a photoshoot.

The pj party sounds like it was fun, I'd join in if I could remember (I have a horrible habit of collecting the oddest/COOLEST pj's ever, and wearing them to school so I'd fit in. 8D Dr.Pepper pj ftw.) ~flail.~ It's not that I would be alone group wise-- I'm just a more of a shy/quiet/lurker when with a group of people I don't know!
Oh and, mask making party.. wut? Eventhough I'm totally not involved IT'S ARTS AND CRAFTS TIME GUYS.

Also story time again: I WAS going to go buy Hetalia cosplay stuffs or attempt to this afternoon while visiting downtown Portland's Pearl district, but I have a stalker who likes to text me over and over and over and over and over, asking me how I've been in every text no matter how many times I reply to him. So I got angry, threw my phone across the street and broke it.
