So, I decided to fix up Hong Kong, mostly because I saw a really awesome wig for him and decided that if I'm gonna get it, I should fix up the rest of the cosplay. >.>

So I might bring v. 2 to Kumo, but I probably won't. |D

Naru: -salute- I live to serve.
Actually that's a lie. A lot of a lie.
Oh heck yes. After the Valentine's meetup and Sak we'll have a good idea of how far we can stretch things/what kind of craziness we can accomplish.

Miria: If you don't let us see it in person, you have to bring us many many pictures.

Whooo Sakuraconnnnn! Sadly I won't be doing any Hetalia for it (the pure epic win of Baccano! led me astray for a bit) but hopefully I'll get to see all of your awesome Hetalia cosplays. =]

XD Digivices are... really complicated to explain actually, but they're one of the main parts of Digimon that make it different from Pokemon. They let the Digimon evolve and devolve and so on. And they're upwards of $50 just about everywhere on the internet. : (

Also I want to write out rules for Muggle Quidditch and then play it every single day for the rest of my life.

You know they have actually college Quidditch teams, right? PSU has one I believe. : D

.... WHAT
okay yeah i am going to psu next year

I'm thinking I'm possibly POSSIBLY going to S-con; no definitive plans yet but I want to and I have a few friends (who have never actually been to a con before lol, but heard me talking about K-con and were intrigued) who want to go and so I'm thinking I'll probably end up going. Plus now that I'm thinking about it I'm kinda hyped for it so. Yeah. I don't know who I'll be... Hungary possibly. Though for those of you who've been before, what should I be wearing? K-con is generally mild enough for any outfit so I'm spoiled weather-wise, but will early April in Seattle be really cold? Just asking because I have two outfits I'm debating on but one is kinda chilly and the other will be much warmer (dress and heels vs. long shirt and overalls). So. Which is the safer bet, or does it not matter?

Jaqua: Weatherwise, I'd expect some drizzle and temps in the 50-70 F range. Pretty much like Kcon this year except less miserably rainy. Luckily, Sak's almost entirely inside, so you're really only running from your hotel to the convention center and maybe hanging out in the convention center's concrete park thing of epicness.
If you're going, get your hotel quickly. If they're not booked by now, they will be soon.
GO AS HUNGARY GO AS HUNGARY GO AS HUNGARY. We're doing German Trio a couple times (casual and canon) and you could totally hang with us and be fantabulous.

Naru: Haha, I am so excited to see you guys do that. It's gonna be ridiculous. XD

I did write a response.... but Malaria pretty much got it down weather wise. Last year it rained a bit, but even then I don't recall it ever being particularly cold outside... In fact aside from the occasional escape oitside for fresh air I barely left the center at all.

XD My grandmother, and common knowledge.
Its really not difficult with how I do it.
I also learned a few tricks from www.threadbanger.com
its a wonderful place, for those like to make their own clothes, but that can easily be altered for cosplay purposes.

You're doing the uniform version, right?

Naru: You say common knowledge, I say WHY DO THESE INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDE TRIGONOMETRIC CALCULATIONS. -sob-

Thanks for the link! What's your magical not difficult method?
This is all a blatant attempt on my part to never ever spend an hour and a half in JoAnn's staring at pattern books again.

Well, I look for patterns online regardless of it fitting me or not, if it has the basic shape I want as the ending result, I write it go to joanes, get it, and then tracing paper.
^^ I check my measurements and make it my size on the tracing paper.
I do that to all the pieces I need, remembering a seam allowance of at least 3/8ths of an inch.
then I use those patterns I have cut out.
this method doesn't take as long, and is in all honesty the easiest way.
if you can't afford patterns, then you can always take say, a shirt that you don't want and take it apart and use that as your main pattern to alter on the tracing paper.
and just a tip if you ever think of using this method.
It is always better to have it bee a bit too big, rather then small.
so If you mess up on your measurements, or your nerves, just make it a bit bigger, because you can always go through and make the seam allowance bigger, so that it fits you the way you want.
I usually like the pinch and pin method, because I do make them too big on purpose.
XD its better then making it to small and too tight and uncomfortable.

So that's basically what I do, usually people do something different XD But I have very strange ways of making things.
I usually NEVER follow directions on patterns, because I end up altering them so much, I can't use them.
XD Sorry if it doesn't help so much, just an explanation.
