We all love Silent Hill! The creepy atmosphere, the terrifying monsters, and the exhilarating story. The series is so unappreciated at cons, though. So here we are! The few, the proud, the Silent Hill cosplayers! Feel free to post even if you don't plan to do a SH cosplay.

I was gonna be Cybil Bennett from SH1, but things ended up changing.
I'll get around to her at some point, hopefully.

I was Heather at K-con '09 and if we have a Silent Hill meet up I may have
to bring the revised version of the cosplay for '10 so we can do photos...

The girl who did the nurse this past year was AWESOME! She should do it again!

Lol yeah... I promise the costume has gotten a LOT better since the convention...
I had about 15 hour to make that costume... and it wasnt what I wanted it to be
at con-time, but thats what I get for deciding to come to K-con about 36 hours
before it starts! LOL.

So, would we want to do like a meet up/photo shoot type thing? It'd be cool to
find a place that looks silent hill-esque! There was a cooridor that led outside
from that stairwell that led to the 3rd floor... looked very Otherworldy... it was
awesome!

Looking forward to seeing you Silent Hill people in '10, though personally I've never played the games. (I'm addicted to watching Let's Play videos of the series hehe.) I remember in '08 there was like three pyramid heads running around and a few nurses, it was amazing. I've thought about doing a silent hill cosplay but, ah, can't think of anyone/thing that I feel I could make a nice cosplay of. Hmm...Need to look up the SH bestiary again and see if anything looks interesting. Always loved the series because it's of its unique style, gritty dark and scary as all heck design. SH stuff just makes everything else at con look so bright and cheery in comparison hehe.

If I was going to cut my hair any time soon I could dress up as Douglas.

I think I would rather fix up my Pimp!Pyramid head costume instead. It's head is shaped wrong and i didn't notice until i got to con in 2007. It was dismantled in shame.

I'm always hoping to see new SH cosplayers! Someone needs a little boy to dress as chibi-Walter from the Room!

I couldn't handle that Tom... Thats probably one of 2 or 3 things in
SH that really scare me is that freakin kid... Something about there
being a child in all the crazyness just really wigs me out.

Shattered Memories really isn't a real Silent Hill game, per se. It carries the name and the name of characters, but other then that has no real affiliation with any of the other titles. It was supposed to be a 'reimaging' of SH1, but it took away most of the core concepts of the entire series; the cult, the sects, Alessa, the 'Gods', the 'Holy Mother', Otherworld as it was in those, etc...

It's a great game in and of itself, but it's not a real Silent Hill game in my mind. xD You want a great one, go play Silent Hill 2 <3

Don't get me wrong, Shattered Memories is a great game from what I've seen, but as a Silent Hill game... it's just not. It just doesn't look, feel, or have a storyline characteristic of a Silent Hill game.
If only the Japanese had stayed on board with the Silent Hill franchise; they are masters of Horror the way it should be. ;.; I just hope Silent Hill doesn't become like Resident Evil and kill itself; SH is the big brother of RE, sitting there reading good literature and laughing at the antics of it's little brother RE, who is playing cowboys and indians... AND DAMMIT, THAT'S THE WAY I LIKE IT! xD

I'd say, no matter how much I love it, RE started it's path after RE4. xD SH has just started, with SH:SM (Or maybe as early as SH$, according to my friend. xD)... we can only hope it stops. T.T
