Cosplay chess is soooo addicting!! last Kumoricon(I was Alice from Pandora hearts)was my first. then Sakura-con this year was my second time (I was Kakashi)

I'm also having a hard time deciding which character to enter into the game.
I'm thinking Princess tutu, or maybe Kakashi.(or maybe both, and hope one of them gets chosen)

I know for sure my friend (who was cardcaptor sakura last year) doesn't want to do it this year.
(very sad!)

I think I might have figured out how to go Trance in the middle of the chess board as Garnet. A few ways:

As Amano: wear Trance under it and stripe as one of my attacks, attaching the sleeves on afterwards.

Regular: wear Trance under it and have someone cover me while I switch wigs.
OR
pretend to get mad, storm off, only to come back on in full trance (wearing the trance under and switching wigs outside then bursting in)

Dress: no idea xD

Cloak: wear trance under it, with regular on top, then the cloak, and the blonde wig with the brown resting on top of it, but not completely on. Maybe the blonde pinned back a bit under it. Then I stripe the cloak and brown wig and stripe off regular so I'm in trance. All in dramatic fashion, of course. xD

So, I'm probably not going to apply to be Chess Master as Invader Zim (or Prussia for that matter). I'd rather keep Kcon as un-stressful as possible for me and my friends, and not doing Cosplay Chess would give us one less thing to worry about. Sorry to disappoint anyone. It certainly would have been fun! Maybe next year. : )

You know, being that neither of the two characters I entering would really have any attack of any kind, perhaps I'll enter as a Chess Master. I know the rules by heart and did used to play tournaments (with fairly good results, I once beat the champion of my High School Chess Team) so I shouldn't do too bad if I did it.

I'm thinking about entering as either Maka from soul eater or perhaps Rukia(school girl) from Bleach, I plan to have my scythe for Maka= my attack. And for Rukia, I have her sword and I have her glove.

I saw it last year, looked fun to be in. What day of the convention is it usually? And how early do we have to be there before the event?

It was on the last day, being Monday, and if I remember correctly, we had to be there around 11, noonish...So not too early.

Well still...Not that early....XP

I know the biggest problem with this was that the Hilton was not being very nice and people who had a room had to check out by around that time and then they kept saying that their storage space was too full, so there were some people having to stay with their baggage...
Hopefully that'll be better this year, so people will still be able to do chess ^^
