Cosplay? Eep!
« on: June 08, 2005, 03:21:27 pm »
I'm going to Kumoricon this year and I really, reeeeeally want to cosplay... but I'm kind of in a pinch! The group of friends I'm going with are going as Naruto characters... and being as I'm really not into Naruto that much (and I hope there won't be as many Naruto cosplayers this year, last year there were WAY TOO MANY x_X), and their group is a strictly three-character group with all spots taken, I'm not really sure what I'd be going as. I do have ideas, but the other problem is that I don't know how to sew anything. ^^; I'm not bad at sewing, I just don't know how. I also don't have a sewing machine.

Ideally, I'd like to be going as Lenne (FFX-2, y'know) but that is a REALLY complex costume and I don't think I could do that. Does anyone know any characters that would be really simple to cosplay as? I'm tall, fairly thin, and have longish brown hair that's about halfway down the first half of my arm. Oh yeah, and I'm a girl. :P The only simple idea I have in mind is Envy from FMA, but I'm not really sure I wanna go as him.

Any ideas? ^^;

You don't have to sew in order to do cosplay (just for the complex ones).  My Seta (Love Hina) costume was basically a mix of some of my old clothes, second-hand stuff, and a lab coat.

Um, no ideas for characters come to mind at the moment.  Try making a list of all the anime you like and narrow it down to who you would like to go as from those series.
Ick, really wish I could give better advice than that. ~~;;
