Soooo...All i know is that this game will come out in 2009...probably in november or dec...So its SOON...
I wanted to be the one to post this because...
I ADMIT IT...I AM A NOOB TO KINGDOM HEARTS...Actually only played the beggining of # 2...

So I just cant wait for this game to come out....I can tell its going to be great!
Especially because i have a curse of always playing the prequal of everything first...

Believe me, not this thing... we never even got REMIX ported to us for the first one (constantly a thing of much anger
for me)

Seeing as you can't even pre-order the game on the gamestop website ( a tell tale sign) and that IGN still has a TBA
and no new trailers or game play on there website, and all that is on Game Trailers is a bunch of kids whining that it's
taking too long... well, it's safe to say it isn't coming out here this year. It is infact scheduled on tentatives for release
in January in Japan. But even that is being hinted at as a possible push back. Square takes there sweet time with everything
they do, especially something as popular as KH... kinda like Final Fantasy ya know? But in the end we get a good product
so... I'm satisfied with the long wait.

Honestly, if it were coming out this year... it'd be promoted, and you'd be able to
pre-order it. Since you can't and since there isn't a ton of literature on the count down,
expect at the very least 5 more months of waiting. And THAT would be if they came out
tomorrow with a release date. These things don't just pop out of the ground and shout
"HI!! BUY ME!" Square is a company that prides itself in driving it's customers mad with
wait and envy. We just got the jewel 358/2 days, they aren't going to be shoveling KHBBS
down our throats until they've made a good chunk off of DS users.

http://www.gamespot.com/psp/rpg/kingdomheartsbirthbysleep/similar.html

Japanese release mentioned, no USA release.

http://www.kingdomheartsunion.com/news/definitive-birth-by-sleep-release-date-still-undecided--624.html

As of TGS 2009, no release date for US, but planning on 2010 (this was published at the begining
of this month) for Japan... remember, the longer the wait for a Japan release date, the longer
western gamers have to wait... because they most likely will NOT be simultaneous.

http://psp.ign.com/objects/964/964460.html#

IGN still has the release date as TBA... and even they make it explicitly clear they aren't hopeful
for an early 2010 release for USA.

On your link to IGN.com, under "ABOUT THIS GAME" Click Game Editions..I was half right. Under United States it says TBA. Under JAPAN it says TBA 2009.

And the IGN reviewers are eager to play it according to how they reviewed 358/2...

According to this info it will probably be released in January here. And earlier in japan..More info that makes that makes sence is that; Didn't They release 358/2 earlier in Japan..

let's not forget that Square Enix is stationed in Japan, so that's where all the Square Enix game's are created, than they dub it in English and finally ship it off to America. You see, it all depends on where the main company is located at, and that will determine who will normally get the game first. Like for instance, we get things like God of War, Gears of War, Halo, Killzone, thing's like that, because the company's are based here in America.

The PSPgo was released in Japan, then NA and everywhere else, there really is no need for jumping down eachother's throats about the release of BbS, as it is, it will be released to Japan FIRST, then NA and everywhere else. And As for Squee-nix [pet-name a friend and I came up with] taking their sweet time, they have BbS, FFXIV, FFXIII, and SEVERAL other games on their plate right now and each game takes time. I'd seguest that you all stop fighting. Really, stop being a child Nik.

Oh i compleatly understand, I my self have played all of the KH games, minus BbS, though it throughly iritates me to no end when people are bickering over the release dates of games. My philosophy on hype-games from Squee-nix: Forget about it untill it's announced via game store and/or tv spots. It'll make you remember the wait.

One thing I do like to point out with Squee's games. All the hidden messages that must be understood with a sarcasticly dirty mind.

ie.:
Roxas: We just need to slip by without being noticed.
Roxas: Well, I know we can't go back empty-handed. Saix wouldn't be too happy about that.
Roxas [to Xion]: As long as we're careful, we should be fine.
Xion [to Roxas]: Okay... If you say so.

I plan on trying to play this one. Will it come out for DS eventually, does anyone know?

I doubt it will come out for DS...BBS is a important part of the story..and SQUARE ENIX usually puts there main games on SONY consoles but I dont know..

I dont own but Ive played them at my friends house...Its an RPG...You cant just play it at your friends house..

Ive seen pictures...And I think BBS looks more detailed then the main games on there consoles....Square is always getting better.

This is going to be a great game for me considering its a preqeul....^_^ I ALWAYS PLAY THE PREQUALS FIRST AS YOU PROBABLY HEARD ME SAY THAT BEFORE!

I am also verifying that both Square and there BFF's @ Sony are planning the release of the Birth By Sleep game to be a PSP exclusive, as it is not main story line and is infact an addition to current story lines. KH3 will undoubtably be a PS3 (or 4? We can only wait and wonder since Square has so many irons in the fire at the moment) title.

Just for clarification, BBS is a pre-quel, related to that special scene none of us American's got to see first hand because we didn't get Final Mix in the USA. But you can youtube the clip and see it in it's awesome coolness anytime you like... and also I think they included it on KH2. Since it doesn't deal with Sora's quest, it is not considered "main story" though I fully am excited for the additions to our background on keyblades and their wielders.

Also, it's gonna be card-battle-esque, like Chain of Memories...soo... no console option on that dealybober. We'll be waiting for KH3 for something we can really sink our teeth into.

If you are familiar with the battle system from chain of memories, it will be similar, though
updates and possibly streamlined... but TGS clips did show a simple form of the card battle
system.

I absolutly loved the card system in CoM/RE:CoM. But then again that's just me. The system will be very similar, and I'm hoping that it'll be somewhat close to Riku's deck system. Where it gives you a random deck. But that'd be pushing it, since if they did give a random deck, it would be with each world, and there would be no way to control your stats to a defenit 't'. With Sora's deck system, it was easy to monitor your stats and decide what cards you could use. With Riku, it was tricky. I'm hoping that if the system is definate with using cards, that they mesh together both systems. [my 2-cents about BbS battle system]

Not only is everyone pumped because this game is in the card system, but also because Ventus definetly has something to do with Roxas [/drool] and therefor with Sora.

as I just read, it's going to have the same battle system as previous kingdom hearts games including re: chain of memories... In my opinion, they should have given you two different versions, one would have the same system as the normal kh, and the other would have the system of re: com... But we can't always get what we want.

Ya, I have to agree with you on that... If it was, you chose how you wanted things done, and it would just go in a circle, I think it would be fine that way, because then, you don't have to worry about re loading it and you can just continue attacking. If they did it that way, I would have no problem what so ever with that system of cards.

I personally am fine with what ever system they decide to throw at us. I liked the card system, yet I hated it for the fact of sleights.

Ya, I have to agree with you on that... If it was, you chose how you wanted things done, and it would just go in a circle, I think it would be fine that way, because then, you don't have to worry about re loading it and you can just continue attacking. If they did it that way, I would have no problem what so ever with that system of cards.
Same here, but I do hope if they throw the card system at us that they've at least tweaked out all the kinks and bugs. If you understand what I'm talking about.

oh ya, because there were a few problems with the system that made is a bit of a pain at first and wasn't quite as good as the other system they use.
Like the sleights, and Riku's deck. You either floundered or you kicked ass. I found that the higher level you were as Riku increased your chances at having a crapy deck in the end. having more cards didn't necessarily mean good cards.

ya, it was a large pain, I wish they would have had a strength and defense system instead of numbered cards determining how good you were.
