So, I can't figure out who I love more: Shizuo, Izaya, or Simon... But I DO know I am the most in love when a combo of the three of them are in the same shot. Especially fighting. Ho ****. Ep 3.............. So goooooooooooooooood.........

Though, I'm 58% convinced there isn't a character I can cosplay from this. Bummer. Still love it though and will continue to obsessively save pictures from it.

I'm blame Nikki and Ai for this habit. They're both obsessive picture hoarders.

You guys I was bored and looked up some video of Athena, and apparently she has this GIANT ORB THING ON HER SHIRT. She's covering it in my ref pic, so I didn't notice is until now.

Nikki, are you callin' me short??? haha. I know I won't cosplay Kida since Olivia said she wanted to cosplay him... and she'd be the right amount of adorable and questionable perversion.

I'm hoping a character catches my eye enough to cosplay. Most the characters I love would be ridiculous for me to pull off. Though I do want Izaya's jacket. Oh yes.

Also I uploaded a better picture, a screencap from the video I was watching. It's really weird because the thing looks 3D and flat at the same time.

I think I got it figured out, I can get a foam ball and cut it on half and then paint it.

Oh yikes, that thing is massive! When I see it I think like, the resin stuff people use for orbs when they're cosplaying mages and things...

Clay might be too heavy for something of that volume though. I'd try and find like, an inflateable ball... one of those that are in toy stores and stuff and paint it. Not sure how that'd work with the scarf though... Or if you are shopping around in random knick knack store and ya see a somewhat see through orb that could be used too (the thing just looks semi-see through to me, dunno why). I've seen things like that in stores that try to sell "mystical" things, like fortune telling orbs and stuff.

Once again, that might be too heavy...

And a cardboard cutout would be an amazing accessory! Hahahaha.

What kind of foam are you talking about? Most foam dissinegrates if you don't put a seal over it first. And I really think the item is a full sphere and not cut in half, so ya might wanna consider not cutting it?

I was thinking one of those squishy foam balls, like maybe a Nerf one. I'd seal it first then paint it.

Yeah, the nerf balls would be good! And would be easier to work with... the foam balls I was thinking of initially were like, the ones you find in Joanns next to the stuff used for floral arrangement. They deteriorate so baaaaaad.

I think the Erika and Walker cosplayers should find a Spice and Wolf cosplayer to pose with. =P

Haha, I actually looked up "giant plastic pearls" to see what would come up, and it gave me a link to coscom with someone wanting to make something similar to what I am. Someone suggested "foam balls" and I initially thought of the floral ones too, but I just looked them up and those sports balls came up.

You could put velcro on the back of it so that it would remain attached to the scarf and not swing around? Or, you could string the scarf thing through the ball.

I just looked up a couple of Athena costumes to see what people used. I found three pictures, and they all seemed to use a small Christmas ornament. Two of them just had the ornament on top of the scarf, and it looked really awkward. One of them seemed to put the scarf through the ornament, which looked best.
Most Christmas ornaments, the shiny ones at least, are glass, right? How would I put a nice-sized hole through a glass ornament without it breaking?
I'm terrible at stuff like this.

If it's thin as hell or you put a ton of pressure on it. The glass is more dangerous and I would avoid it at all costs.

We're definitely going to need a Mikado and Sonohara if someone does Kida.

never mind the ideas of cosplaying the cut-out, but it would still be awesome the actually HAVE a cutout.

Okay guys, I need serious help with my Athena wig. I can't find the right color, and I want to be as accurate as possible.

Here are the options:

Amphigory 1
Amphigory 2
Both of these come in the same colors. I think that the fuchsia color is closest to the character, but still really off.
Professionals Only
The color for this one is more accurate, but still too bright.

Right now I like the Professionals Only wig, but I don't want to be the stupid kid with the neon wig.

I think those are all pretty terrible...maybe you'd be better off getting a white or blonde colored wig and dying it with some wig dye.
