um what i have to say is get some Foam blocks and sand paper.

cut them out into little cube things then carve out squarish shape of the ears. After witch you sand them into round and smooth ears. Then get strechy leather and soe it on like a sleeve. After witch add the 2ndary color leather.

its good looking and fun!

D: I bought my friend Aislyn a pair for her birthday, beacuse she's cosplaying Chii at K-con, and in the picture they looked really nice, but they where CRAP. NEVER EVER BUY THEM. >__> Always Make them! Out of wood if you have to!
Ais-chan says it's okay, but we both know they suck.

It was off Ebay. D: I don't remember the url... But they where made of a pink and white foam, very slopily glued to a off white headband. D: The faom was also kinda covered in glue, and there swhere very visable staples in the back of the ears. The hair spools where crappy too... They didn't make a very full circle, kinda like a oval with a spike on it. They where a weird proportion to her head too... They kinda went down her neck.

hm. im probly gonna be chii too, and i was thinking about buying the official ears, even thought they're expensive but i think they look good

geez cosplaying is expensive!!!

They are about 90 bucks... D: I didn't feel like spending that on her. (OOOH. Neko's Cheap. xDD)

They're actually pretty easy to make, I think.  There are plenty of sites on the 'net with tutorials (like this one: http://chii-ears.tripod.com/).

Also, one of the flakiest, least-crafty-type people I know made them pretty easily. =)
