This happens like every night.
There are always like 9 or 10 people on, but nobody posting.

I never understand why this is happening, so can somebody clear this up?

It's the satellites
See, we are posting, but the lag due to the fact the K-Con Satellites being on the other side of the planet (right around 9:12-10:03 I think) create insane lag, so it only seems like no one is posting, but in all actuality we are. Hope this helps JT (At least if I remember right that's you're name XD)

I only post on matters that I have a clear grasp of what I'm talking and am sure of the facts surrounding the said matter. I also don't post on things I don't care about unless I have a strong opinion regarding the the topic at hand.

Anyway though, the real answer to your questions is CHAT. A lot of these people are IMing each other in different programs rather than chatting on the board itself.

i post because i love pretty much all of the people here, and i like to plan meetups with them, and hear what they have to say etc.

If we could afford a sattelite we would not break the Hilton contract because that would be rude and be bad business conduct that would sour the convention's reputation with ALL hotels.

We would bribe the Hilton CORPORATION to build a non-franchise hotel in Portland for us and bribe the city planners to restart the convention center hotel project so that Portland can create a discount program for large conventions like us.

Or maybe just pay for the remodelling at the Vancouver hilton so it can hold an additional 1000 attendees.

Supposedly they own the big vacant lot behind the hotel and are going to expand once they can afford it. This is 2 year old gossiop but it'd still be awesome.

As far as the lurkers go, my guess is most just do a mass of PM exchanging with each other, while only half engage in posting where everyone can see. I have only a small few to chit-chat with. Also happens at most meetups. Got no way to break through it so I roll with it.
