well, again, I still think only 2 legendarys from each side should be included, because most people aren't making legendarys as I've noticed, and as such, the legendarys would take the place of king and queen, because their the most important pieces... But what legendarys are there for digimon?

Also, no people characters will be on the board. Only gijinka poke'mon and digimon. People are the masters unless you wanna use them as an attack...

That wouldn't work since it's a Pokemon vs Digimon match. Maybe set up your own Pokemon Cosplay Chess match like that? xD;

Im not sure.
But Pokemon is now just a filler...Digimon was the best because it actually made sense..
All though, they were both epic in many ways...Im glad that Digimon is normal and FREAKING Pokemon keeps on getting a new series...Oh ma gard, POKEMON DIAMOND AND PEARL, ADVANCED BATTLE, AND OTHERS.....Did'ya know Pokemon has over 1000 episodes...That isnt right...

as for the next year part, it is called Digimon vs Pokemon chess 2010, so naturally, that would be the case.

And summer would work, but that is when a lot of people plan their meet ups because they don't have to mess with school, so it can be good and bad...It just depends. And also with Kris moving here (hopefully!!!). We'll probably have to figure out all the details when it gets a lot closer to spring time.

Yes, this is planned to be done during summer of 2010. This gives people time to work on their cosplays if they don't have them done, like me. >.> Plus, I'm making Romo's outfit as well.

This shouldn't be too much of a worry with cosplays being dropped due to the fact that we aren't putting a limit on entrants. So if someone does drop we will have someone to replace them. I also don't plan on placing people until Spring for that exact same reason unless people get to antsy. I started this this early because people are really slow on their feet with making as well as signing up. Thought it would be best to give people time and warning. Plus, if people aren't placed and did sign up and did already make their costume just for this, that's one costume we helped them get out of the way.

As far as a place, I don't have anything exact yet but there are a lot of possibilities. We'll obviously have it some place close to a max station and hopefully some other attraction such as a mall or theatre or something so if we all decide to hang out afterwards we have places we can go. I would also like it to be a good place with some good scenery for photoshoots.

I don't know much about Portland, but PS is the one that came to mind originally... I mean, it's a fairly open environment, and everyone who went to con knows where it is (besides me because when I went to con, I was one of the lucky people who wasn't able to see where we were going... My friend decided to turn the middle seat in his van around so that the people sitting in it could see the people in the back seat, thus making it impossible to see where we were going, but I can get directions to just about anywhere, so it doesn't really matter to me) But let's see, what about where they hold the saturday market? that seems to be a fairly wide open space.

the only problem with PS is that it is technically private property, so we may not be able to be there for the entire time.

we must devise a way to harness the awesome power of pokemon/digimon and be able to use their powers in our realm, then we shall use these powers so as to win a game of chess.... oh, and if your a piece, don't worry about knowing how to play or not, all you need to know is how to move the piece you are, like the knight, it's 2 space in any direction (excluding diagonal) and then 1 space to the side, like an L.... Better yet, just check out this one, it will explain the knight (the reason I bring up the knight is because it's the most confusing one to learn about, every other piece is a piece of cake, except maybe the pawn, and that's only on certain occasions... What do you need to ask for...? Goggles?!

The rest is normal clothes that you can get at any time...just say you need a shirt or something...
It's a red long sleeve shirt, a green shirt, pants/shorts, and shoes... Then the goggles and you can use my red wig.
Maybe you might want to buy gloves, too but you don't NEED those...
